  14.  @andreanagy4801  Literally every 1420 comment section now has a bunch of comments implying that Daniil is either "connected", in the FSB or bribing someone in power. That seems to be the strategy that's being employed to discredit the channel in its viewers' eyes, and I think it's important to do what you did here.

  21.  @lorenzopippia5257  You really need to read about slavery before you use that word in relation to Italy and the US. And this is coming from someone who grew up there - I do think the US had a negative influence on Italian politics over the decades, though Italians also have themselves to blame for many of the things that keep going wrong there. Considering that Italy was allied with the nazis, which is why it "lost the war", we should be grateful it got away in one piece instead of getting split down the middle like Germany. Ending up as a vassal state of the soviet union and then the russian federation would have been immeasurably worse, and you know that as well as I do.

  25.  @mannimoneto3356  I was one of millions who took to the streets of London to protest the Afghanistan and Iraq wars at the beginning of this century... Tragically, we did not succeed. But no one shoved me into a police van simply for - loudly, repeatedly - expressing my opposition to that war (which was, incidentally, called "war" by everyone from the start). I've been doing the same recently, again with vast numbers of very loud people, to try and convince our hypocritical politicians to stop supporting Israel's genocide in Palestine. I know you can't understand this, but I find your delusional way of thinking absolutely horrifying.

  27.  @firmonkey8782  Many of those who wanted to remain in Ukraine had fled by then... I don't imagine the separatists "authorities" facilitated postal voting. And because of the way the "referendums" were held, no one will actually ever know how many people would have voted for what in normal circumstances. I support a united Ireland and an independent Scotland, but I would never, ever want those regions to achieve independence that way. What happened in the Donbas and Crimea is indefensible.

There are plenty of sources, some personal, some official, some independent, all more or less saying the same thing. I would add that for this reason, we should never ever take democracy for granted, never think "we've cracked it now, let's sit back and let it do its thing" - democracy is us doing our thing, day in day out, and that is indeed about education, and also equality, human rights, and policies that see beyond immediate gain into the future of humanity.

Muscovy actually rebranded itself as Russia in the 18th century to link up with the ancient Kievan Rus culture, in order to justify its imperial expansion. I don't actually disagree with your comment at all, I just want to point this out because this underpins much of putin's propaganda.

  49.  @arsonviburnums8453  It's not unprofitable to starve certain sections of the population to death if you know you can repopulate their lands and homes with different people who are easier for you to control - which is exactly what stalin did, it's one of the reasons so many inhabitants of those parts of Ukraine are of russian ancestry.
