Sree S reliant on oil? Norway is reliant on oil and its one of if not the greatest countries in the world.
1
Pay varies amongst states because of cost of living, the wealth of said state and of course supply and demand.
1
Australia has 2 political parties. Labor and Liberal have dominated politics since 1941.
1
Yes!
1
Can I have some?
1
That’s why tax brackets exist, the wealthy gets out in a higher bracket so get taxed more. The wealthy also provide jobs to the poor.
1
Then why not base it off of the socioeconomic circumstances of the individual rather than just looking at the colour of their skin? Even more, if a student scores lower in an exam - whether or not they went to a good school - isn’t that indicative of their knowledge at that time? Why guess about how smart they are by adding points, when you have a score that is related directly to how knowledgeable they are.
1
Ok
1
Teachers may “work” for 9 hours, but remember 1 hour of it is sitting around whiles there’s a break, and most teachers will then have another free 1 hour period.
1
And what about people who work from pay check to pay check to pay off debts? Or people in third world countries?
1
@alexanderishere6205 for third world countries
1
Billions? It’s a numerical system not a space station. It would get slowly phased in to reduce costs, and basic things would have both conversions for older people
1
It’s political because it would cost over 93 trillion dollars in 10 years to accomplish this plan
1
George D the plan would phase out all petroleum cars, require our entire grid to be converted to clean energy, for every house to undergo energy efficiency upgrades, ect. It’s a ridiculous plan. Not that it matters, China used more CO2 than both the US and the EU combined. And while the us and the EU are reduce their footprint, China’s is only accelerating.
1
And what does that solve?
1
Genius. Eliminate the successful so we are left with only the least productive of people
1
Swordsman Gallade yeah from OUR perspective it was skewed right, but to world in 1950 this is a radical left climate. It’s all about perspective.
1
Richard Ball no they don’t. Tax breaks aren’t “control” or trying to hurt poor people, tax breaks incentivise spending and investing, which leads to jobs, profits and down the line a stronger economy with more tax. On the flip side you increase taxes and businesses look to invest elsewhere, get rid of jobs and increase prices - raising living costs, reducing jobs and reducing economic growth leading to a weaker economy in the future with less taxes. The us needs to get a stable growth, with low unemployment and rebuild its industry sector before they talk about raising taxes.
1
Clashfer_GameZ by removing the only tool that citizens have to overthrow a tyrant. Why in the world would you let the government control the biggest tool that stops them from overreaching Without guns our constitution is useless. It’s like international law, without a military or force there’s nothing to stop the breaking of it. We’ve seen this over and over again, Germany, Italy, Venezuela, China, Cube, Russia. Tyrannical governments that overthrow the constitution and control every citizen
1
They are unarmed
1
Aditya Kailash yes, they have very strict gun control. Plus all of the gangs and criminal agencies are probably profiting somehow
1
Greg marshall it is without a license.
1
China has made bucketloads from the disease. And no didn’t go into a heavy recession (from all I know).

@jacobdaniels3246 yes she is

Like what, the assault weapons ban? An assault weapon has no defined meaning and the ban did nothing to stop actual shootings. Rifles represent such a tiny announcer of overall homicides in America
1
Snail Kale do you not know what the assault weapons ban was? It was “reasonable” regulation on weapons - mostly based on their looks. For example, pistol grips weren’t allowed on any semi automatic rifles. Even banning rifles wouldn’t do anything, as so little actual homicides are committed with rifles and said rifles are amazing for someone looking to defend themselves. It would harm the law abiding citizen more than criminals
1
Jack Stahl the thing is gun free zones don’t stop shootings. If you want to shoot someone, nothing is stopping you from bringing a concealed gun in a bag. The only thing they do stop are law abiding citizens and their ability to stop a threat. You could force teachers to practice gun safety and put the gun in a gun safe to keep it away from the students.
1
Crumbles first off, not all shooters are kids. You’re not prepping to shoot a kid, your prepping to defend yourself and your students. And the gun safe would be in a cabinet, keto out of reach of children and only to be used in specific situations. Teachers wouldn’t be forced to take a gun, but instead would have the option to.
1
Crumbles gun free zones haven’t stopped a single shooting, they only stop the law abiding citizens from defending against one.
1
Jack Stahl and I’ll say it again, what does a gun free zone do to prevent that teacher from bringing in a weapon to school. Nothing, it just means that another law abiding teacher cannot defend himself and his students against that shooter. Gun free zones have never prevented a shooting - what they have done is prevented others from defending themselves.
1
Jack Stahl gun free zones do work is some circumstances, like in bars where people can get drunk and in the spot a guy might decide to shoot someone. But school shootings are planned, most aren’t spontaneous bursts of aggression. And a gun free zone doesn’t stop someone from bring a gun to school concealed.
1
Jack Stahl it will reduce the fatalities of a shooting, plus deter someone from committing one in the first place. Those are 2 bonuses, and there aren’t any apparent negatives.
1
Jack Stahl training for what? You don’t need training to take a gun and put it in a safe. And gun safes could be provided by the teacher, the gun if for their comfort. Ok let’s say you want it to be state funded, just take that budget out of where you get the security guard budget. You don’t need security for schools if the teachers are armed.
1
Jack Stahl if they don’t want it then they aren’t forced to take it. It’s a luxury, not a rule. And gun training should be also on the teacher, it’s not the schools job to train a army of teachers.
1
Jack Stahl um no, it’s not as hard as driving a car. It’s point and shoot
1
Snail Kale they would use it and save their own life. Amazing I know.
1
3 months time off per year is loads. That’s a quarter of the year.
1
Why? Paranoia much. Anyway if you armed teachers you would have to hide and hope, you would have someone there that would defend you. School shootings are terrible because it’s pretty much a person running around killing people with nothing to stop them.
1
Teachers get paid quite a lot. Average salaries are around $61 000 a year, for 9 months of work.
1
I mean when a large part of the would would be considered extreme poverty our standards, it’s a very reasonable reality.
1
Dividends are the more conventional route, but stock buybacks can be used as compensation. Stock buybacks directly remove shares from the market, while dividends are just simple payments.
1
Polio has been around for centuries.
1
Blame Obama
1
Rhodesian Wojak what depreciation? Their stock price has boomed in 2020
1
oops lol and they are
1
TerraTN it’s not a myth. The average US citizen makes much more than any other country, due to low taxes, low unemployment and a strong economy.
1
TerraTN yeah right now, it will bounce back. The economy always does.
1
Who cares
1
Lucy Baughman your right, no one NEEDS 50 million, it’s that people WANT it. And this want is in human nature, and drives innovation. And these highly successful people reuse that money to build up their business. Look at someone like Microsoft, which is one of the most influential tech companies. Or amazon, which offers cheap on the day delivery worldwide. Without this wealth, these companies would t exist to the side today.
