  15. Tony L it’s based on income, they must have concluded he’s got enough of an income to feed himself. The problem isn’t that people are starving, some are. But they usually are starving because they don’t understand how to budget. Stop buying luxuries, find a cheap place to rent, use less utilities and work 40-80 hours a week. It is hard, but if you do that you will be able to save up for something else, plus you could probably find a better paying job with your resume alone. The us is the best country in the world for wealth and opportunity. If you try hard, you work hard, ect - you will make it.

  28. Ben Chesterman $60 000 AUD a year is pretty good money, you can easily live comfortably. Healthcare is subsidised, schooling is free. Our cost of living isn’t too high, and wages are pretty high. We have one of the highest minimum wages in the world. Overall it’s a good system. Would it work in the US? Probably not.
