Dutchman here. Orban is Russia's trojan horse inside the EU.
1500
Poland is right. It's 1939 all over again and the west is about to make the same mistake. Thinking that an aggressive regime (this time Russia) will not attack.
1400
Unlike the U.S., Europe will keep defending democracy.
587
Anyone that is defending his home with such determination has my deepest respect. Slava Ukraini! Heroiam Slava!
552
That old woman has more balls than all these Russians at the front.
378
I hope American citizens now see how dangerous this position as Speaker of the House is to democracy.
373
Putin a little more than two years ago: "We're not going to attack Ukraine. The west is acting hysterically." Putin today: "Russia will not attack NATO. It's nonsense."
281
Shutting down Starlink should be viewed as a declaration of war to Europe from the U.S.
107
I'm also fed up by the inability of our EU to stop and isolate anti-democratic countries like Hungary and Slovakia.
107
@lilymay7171 Yes, our eastern European friends know all too well what the Russians are like. It's the very reason for NATO's 'expansion' with Finland and Sweden as the latest example.
57
Russia: "Hey, let's attack the U.S!" Europe: "They would be stupid enough to do it."
57
No matter what you think of Macron, he is telling how it is and what we have to do. Scholtz is still afraid of Russia and lets himself be manipulated by them.
52
This definitely has become a Special Militarily Operation although not in the way Putin might have envisioned. 😏
43
Thank you Jake for trying to talk some sense into those that want to sacrifice Ukraine, Europe and the world for 'America first'.
43
Absolutely! Europe should stick with Ukraine no matter what and give Trump the middle finger. If he abandons Ukraine then European NATO members should not help the US when the shit hits the fan in Asia. Then it will be their problem.
40
Vivek is a perfect example of a political parasite of which there are (unfortunately) a lot in this world.
34
@woodliceworm4565 Yes, just as my Dutch government is scrambling to beef up defense and aid for Ukraine.
34
To be honest in the past years I've not only been worrying about Russia but the US as well. As a Dutchman I've seen how polarised the US politics has become. Europe should be able to defend itself in the future because it looks like it won't be a certainty that the US will come to our aid if the next Russian dictator tries to make a name for himself.
31
After seeing this I'm even more convinced of the threat that Russia posses to the rest of Europe. We absolutely have to make sure that Ukraine wins this war in order to restore stability on the European continent.
30
So videos of destroyed buildings in Hiroshima Nagasaki are not allowed.... So much for distorting history. Really YouTube. What are you doing? Are there any sane people left working for YouTube?
27
Ukraine should face the 'Mother Ukraine' statue to Moscow with her middle finger raised.
27
Europe stands with Ukraine.
23
@unbekannt-lp8xm Europe is awake but you seem to have been sleeping not realising the storage of weapons Europe has at this moment. It's not like ordering a loaf of bread. Sure Europe is stepping up but the U.S. stuck a knife in here back recently.
23
Thanks Jake for saying that Trump is a traitor. A thing I've been saying since his coup attempt.
22
As a concerned European I'm worried about US 'democracy'.
20
As a Dutchman I'll never vote for Wilders. He may have gotten the most votes but he has no majority. The Netherlands is almost always lead by a coalition and all the other parties are pro-Ukraine. As a result mr. Wilders has already made concessions in order to form a cabinet which is still ongoing. One concession is the military support for Ukraine. I think it's a smart thing of PM Rutte to have made this security agreement with Ukraine.
17
@shaggygoat In Europe we actually care about freedom just like we supported the U.S. in its war of independence. Americans like to forget that when they betray a country in the same position.
17
These athletes represent their countries so not shaking the hand of the Iranian is the best thing.
16
@redred222 It all depends on who's stupid enough to push that button.
15
@DugrozReports Europe's industry and heating relies on natural gas and unlike oil can't be shipped easily across the world. My country the Netherlands imports 15% of Russian gas so that doesn't seems to be a big problem. But counties like Germany and Italy are very dependable on Russian gas. So other countries will have to share their gas. That will not be enough to stop industry from taking a hit. The again in the Netherlands we were able to cut down demand by 30% simply by using energy more sensible.
11
That is if there ever will be an election....
11
@MrSheduur It's this clown that puts the alliance at risk.
11
Well Jake, you are not the only one who gets fired up about this. As a neigbouring Dutchman I'm baffled by the German attitude. Somehow they still think everything will blow over and it will be business as usual. I would expect Germany to have learned from history.
10
Add it to the reconstruction bill. We've already reserved the 300 billion of Russian assets.
10
@AstroGremlinAmerican Kamala is the best choice. can we all agree on that?
8
Will never happen. No reward for Russian aggression.
8
Raechel11 Indeed, as a Dutchman and European I never understood this undemocratic system from a country that boasts about it.
8
Right there, singing that national anthem, shows us all why we should continue support for Ukraine. The determination, resolve. Not bowing to the Russian invaders set out to destroy their country, their loved ones. Why are we still debating whether or not we should continue support? If not we are traitors of humanity, our values, democracy. More wars will come to Europe if we do not stop Russia now, right there in Ukraine.
8
As a Dutchman I envy our neighbours.
8
@unbekannt-lp8xm At the moment not but money can buy weapons on the international market (as long as it isn't American) and Taurus still can be send.
8
@mikehunt5637 These Ukrainian children will remind their Russian counterparts of the horrific crimes their parents committed.
7
@theguyishere249 blocking aid to Ukraine is helping Russia. So yes.
7
As a Dutchman I'm horrified to see that things a so bad in Europe while I sip my hot coffee in my warm living room watching Netflix.
7
That medic is telling exactly how I feel. I'm ashamed being a European. I'm about to visit my aunt (92) and I can imagine how she must feel seeing we are making the same mistakes again. Not responding to a genocidal war on European soil.
7
I sincerely hope this will be reflected in the upcoming elections.
7
@LumenMichaelOne In that case we might still have a few years to prepare.
7
@gr00vechamp Not a good idea as Trump will give that to his buddy Putin.
7
@aaronajb8983 We all know who the real fascists are.
6
Now let's get things moving so Ukraine can give the knockout punch this summer! Combined tank and air power.
5
They won't.They are just acting like a spoiled teenager.
