They're in front of the doors. It's plainly visible.

@keenanryan8735 First, stop shouting. Second, what crises are you talking about? I see a crisis of democracy, as Republicans, fearing a changing America, are trying to suppress voting rights in order to cement their rule. Also, Cruz should have stuck around and shown solidarity with his "fellow" Texans, as they dealt with an ignored, inadequate infrastructure, which the Abbott/Paxton crowd show no interest in strengthening (as that would be "communism" or something).
6
I wouldn't say "fruitcake," but those of us on the revolutionary left scorn liberals as well.
5
@keenanryan8735 The crisis is part of a country-wide effort to suppress votes, disassemble democracy, and cement GOP control in the face of a changing America.
5
@rickwalker557 Most of the police fought bravely, while some collaborated with the attackers. It's not a surprise.
4
@Some0ne001 *you're

"UFO" only means "Unidentified Flying Object." It doesn't imply anything extraterrestrial. This is a big pet peeve of mine.
4
@keenanryan8735 The problem does not lie with wind turbines, and just because something is a "100 year storm" (assuming that it's a freak thing, and not the results of a changed climate) doesn't mean that you shouldn't be prepared to deal with it.
4
@robert.m4676 What has you so confused? We leftists often have a lot of scorn for liberals. (Those are two different things. You know that, right?)
3
A lot of people got in trouble in 2020. That's beside the point. She made a comparison to the treatment of Stop Cop City activists, including the legal observers!
3
@caitlinbarbery5260 Not so. Abortion consists of a number of different medical procedures that are by definition a matter of women's health.
3
@rogerward801 They were blocking the entrance. That's what the FACE Act is about. Do you know what it was like before that?
3
Ok, but the implication is obvious, and the Trumpists should have checked it, right?
3
@keenanryan8735 Infrastructure is a state-level concern.
3
Ok, but the implications are obvious, and someone had to check that thing ahead of time, right?
2
The comparison she makes is with the Stop Cop City protesters.
2
@litedawg Yes, they deserve access to healthcare.
2
The better comparison, which the host and the woman in the middle didn't seem to grasp, was the one made regarding the Stop Cop City protesters. Also, these people were preventing entrance to the clinic. That's a violation of the FACE Act. Do you realize what it was like pre-FACE?
2
@jk_22 Yes, as a matter of fact.
2
@jedifam66 It matters.
2
They blocked access to the clinic. That's what the FACE Act is about. Pre-FACE, cops had to show up every weekend and haul people away.
2
@TrentSLucas Same human being? Of course. Baby? No. That comes later. Embryos aren't in possession of the characteristics of personhood, and that makes all the difference. Do you know what that entails?
2
And?
2
Unfortunately, that doesn't work.
2
@dustinavant2003 No. I'm referring to how crazy it was; every weekend cops had to come out and haul people (the same people in many cases, who were funded by anti-choice groups) off to jail. It caused long delays (at minimum) for everyone, disrupted nearby businesses, used up a lot of police resources and tax dollars, and put clinic staff and patients in danger. (Do you know what happened a few years ago when people invaded & blockaded Washington Surgi-Clinic in DC?) There's a lot of video from those days. It's just ridiculous and exasperating.
2
It's not objective to repeatedly invoke the peaceful nature of the protests while ignoring how important the FACE Act is.
2
@liamsdad33 This isn't necessarily tied to guns, but keep in mind that L.A. and S.F. are much less dangerous than Bakersfield, Fresno, Lexington KY, Tulsa, OKC, and other places that are usually/often governed by Republicans.
2
@MilwaukeeF40C It is, as a matter of fact. In 2019 AG Barr declared a State of Emergency for rural Alaska due to violence. The most violent counties in the country are rural, usually in the Deep South (again, I'm talking about rates of violent crime). I am not anti-gun, but let's always keep the facts in mind.
2
Those sit-ins were for progressive goals. These blockades are regressive.
2
@nomdeguerre8464 Really, what demographics do you mean? Be specific.
2
And/or the office inside.
2
@ruleaus7664 They were sitting in front of (and otherwise obstructing) the doors, just as they did in the days before the FACE Act, thus preventing people from getting in for their appointments. Also, embryos aren't babies. That comes later.
2
@jimabs3317 He could at least have shown solidarity, and if you look at the filibuster, you'll see that it's undemocratic and unsavory.
2
@brehpotsirhc Stop shouting, and start making sense.
2
@WhidbeyMP They were.
2
@chaosinfusion8127 Exactly.
1
Arizona has higher rates of violent crime than CA does. I am not anti-gun, but please live in reality.
1
Asking for asylum is legal.
1
Embryos aren't babies, and you're being disingenuous.
1
@thomasford4716 Life, yes. Personhood, no. That comes later. It's the characteristics that make killing wrong.
1
@TB-jb3rq Not so. Embryos (most abortions involve embryos) and fetuses are distinct from babies.
1
@deadgolfer6345 Okay, but that's not when abortions occur. Doctors like Jen Gunter have explained this.
1
@parzable There are no babies involved.
1
@deadgolfer6345 Again, please look into what doctors with up-close-and-personal knowledge of the topic say.
1
@deadgolfer6345 It doesn't happen as advertised. People who talk about "abortion up until birth" are either ignorant or disingenuous. They make it sound like people abruptly decide in the 9th month of pregnancy to have abortions, and then doctors oblige. Dr. Jen Gunter and others have written about what really happens. Also, I can't help but think of the cliche "give them an inch and they will take a mile" regarding anti-choicers.
1
Ok, but stop shouting.
1
This is off the subject, but note that Vikings worse dreadlocks.
1
They were blocking access. That violates the FACE Act. Do you know what it was like pre-FACE?
1
@litedawg Yes, as a matter of fact. Do you know what it was like before the FACE Act?
