If they are fleeing from deadly violence (especially situations created by First World exploitation of the Third World), common decency should lead to asylum. Besides, economists on most points of the political spectrum agree that migrants are a boon, not a burden, as long as they are able to work (which is what said migrants want to do).

  12. Re: IVF, the anti-choicers are at least being consistent. If they think that an embryo is the same as a baby, then they should oppose IVF, since it entails destroying a great many embryos. They're terrible people, but they are being consistent.

In a rudimentary way, newborns have that. Embryos and fetuses don't/can't. There's no harm in not being born. No one minds.
