Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
15
It's being ignored less often.
15
It's being ignored less often. Also, attractive spouses have nothing to do with someone being a pervert.
15
That status has no bearing on someone being a pervert or not.
15
There's less tolerance for this sort of thing.
15
I wonder if I'll see any comments like: "Lucky girl." "Where were these coaches when I was a kid?" "It should have been me." "There is no victim here." "The only damage came from all the high-fives." "That girl is a legend among her peers." "Niiice." And so on...
15
The former. Even today, there are people (see this comments section) who see this is a good thing.
15
A pervert, in this case.
14
Yes, except for the "baby" part.
14
No one has to force themselves on anyone.
14
@brian5148 Exactly. So many men think that this behavior is just fine. It's infuriating.

Don't talk to the police without an attorney.

Just a few minutes into the video, the guest discusses how much psychological harm this causes. Boys who go through this often have longstanding problems forming healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, trust, etc. They get older, see children of the age they were when it happened, and it's even more disturbing. This is a terrible thing. If you think that it's so great, do you think that it should be legal?
13
@mEtalec Irrelevant. They discuss, in the first few minutes of the video, why this is harmful. For one thing, he was under the age of consent. For another, she had a power relationship over him, and it's a serious problem. Yes, this causes psychological harm, as they discuss in this video. Do you think that it should be legal?
13
"A part," you mean. You do want her apart from your community.
13
I wonder if there will be any women here wishing that they had been cheerleaders, or asking "where were coaches like that when I was in school," or saying that it's "every girl's dream," or calling it "niiiice" or whatever. Anytime there's a story about women doing this to boys, we see men reacting that way, ignorant of the damage it causes to the psyche.
13
The cops are under no legal obligation to protect anyone. Most people don't know that.

@hmq9052 Mental health professionals, and many men who have been through this, make it clear that this does a lot of damage.
13
@JoseGomez-en4pg This behavior does a lot of damage.
13
It's not new, but it's being ignored/tolerated less than before.
13
@Mark3-16 The luck is bad. This behavior causes substantial psychological damage. Men who've been through this are often facing lifelong problems with forming healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc. If you think that it's so great, do you think that it should be legal?
13
@cali4life788 For one thing, he was in middle school. For another, this sort of behavior often causes lifelong problems in forming healthy relationships, understanding boundaries, consent, etc. Do you think that it should be legal?
13
No, it's just getting reported more often.
13
@user-ed2vc4ge3v No, that is not true at all! See the West Memphis Three, among countless other cases. Always ask for an attorney, even if it's just questioning and you're not under arrest.
12
I knew this was coming. Fetal homicide laws were written with violent third parties like this in mind. The woman didn't consent. That's the entire point.
12
@Bailemos888 There's nothing funny about this. Having to tell one's grandkids about this would be terrible.
12
Yes, because fetal homicide laws were written with violent third parties (like this) in mind. She didn't give her consent.
12
@nicolasjaramillo430 This is child molestation, or worse, and that's not yummy.
12
@drinkinrawacky154 It most certainly does!
12
@ShunnyMcbuns Do you have any evidence for your first claim? Regarding the rest, what does that have to do with anything?
12
Thankfully, some of us guys know that this is very harmful.
12
@whs-waterfox7034 Normal? So you want this to be legal?
12
*innocence
12
@ajcruzer92 Stop. This behavior causes substantial psychological damage. Men who've been through this are often facing lifelong problems with forming healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc. If you think that it's so great, do you think that it should be legal?
12
@kenw2225 That attitude ("aren't viewed as broken") is part of the problem. This does a lot of psychological damage (men who've been through this often have problems forming healthy relationships, understanding boundaries and consent, etc.). They also feel like there's something wrong with them when they don't feel good about it. Do you think that it should be legal when it involves women and boys?
12
@Nug-one87 Why not? Minors can't give consent, this is very harmful, and it isn't funny.
12
It's nothing new.
12
It's nothing new. We're just hearing about it more often.
12
@tabularasa7775 Her appearance is irrelevant.
12
@TechyGamerVibeZ There are no fun and games here. This behavior causes substantial psychological damage. Men who've been through this are often facing lifelong problems with forming healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, etc. If you think that it's so great, do you think that it should be legal?
12
Don't talk to the police without an attorney.
12
@spacemanspliff7983 Do you have any evidence for that? See all the comments from men who think that this is a good thing. It's only recently that enough people have come to understand how awful it is.
12
And then there is Melissa Drexler, the girl who gave birth in the restroom in the midst of prom, placed the newborn in a plastic bag and then into the trash, and then went back and continued to dance.
11
If anything, it's better now. This sort of thing is being ignored less often.
11
@hardlessons9732 New? There's been an upswing in homicide rates that began during the pandemic, but the rate is still well below the peak (around 1990).
11
@burgerwarts Not so.
11
@judithdasta3969 Your anecdotes aren't data, but in any case, people were trapped in horrible marriages before no-fault divorce. I'm not sure what church has to do with anything. The divorce rate has decreased in recent years. Why do you assume that only fathers should work?
11
The latter, along with less ignoring/tolerating this behavior.
11
Some adults are perverts.
