  2. Lamas is a very under appreciated fighter. When he reached a make or break point in his career it didn't go his way n he stopped getting the respect he deserves after that. Hes a very well rounded, exciting, dangerous fighter who can beat anyone in the division on any given night & I include the champion in that assessment. 145 is the richest, deepest talent pool in MMA right now with a top 6 or 7 the best its ever been but none of them have a better skill set than Lamas. Don't sleep on him, on any given night.

  13. What Glover is, before he is an age or a number, is an excellent Mixed Martial Artist. He knows 1000 ways to win n he knows how to survive until he finds one of those ways. Jan is similar, well rounded but its a 50/50 fight from where Im sitting n It might just be Glovers night.

  33. Merab is too high tempo for him. Merab is too scruffy n too scrappy for him. Merab can win ugly. Merab can swim in deep waters. Merab knows what it takes n what it feels like to climb the mountain when the world is against you. Merab is a hell of a fighter. Umar brings well polished A B C's, but so does Merab. Umar is no mystery to Merab & he has never shown us that he can operate at the tempo Merab operates at, against the very best in the division. Team Merab will be very disappointed & very upset if they don't win this one. Fighting pretty isnt enough. Being hyped isnt enough. Picking your moments isnt enough. Merab is a whole different kettle of fish than Sandhagen. You have to be ready to crash n burn vs Merab, you have to be ready to either shut down his tempo or match it & we haven't seen Umar, show that he is capable of doing either of those. I wont die of shock if Merab gets a finish in the championship rounds. This should be VERY spicy.

  34. Volkov vs Jon Jones is a GREAT fight. Stylistically it could be a nightmare for Jon, if he cant take Volkov down I say Volkov is heavy enough, long enough, hits hard enough, is busy enough, is unpredictable enough n accurate enough to finish Jon ... IF he can keep it standing.

  37. Hollands a big test for anyone, but especially at this stage in Maddalenas career. Arguably more so than Magny was for Mrs Machado, seeing as Magny took it on short notice. But its good to see them staying true to their roots, theres no easy fights in the UFC, & nor should there be. 🥊

  38. Moreno was the victim of one of the worst robberies ever seen in a UFC title fight last time out. Dana has a conscience n knows he didn't deserve to lose out on PPV points so they created an interim title opportunity for him, which if he wins it he can defend it at will making just as much PPV money as he would with the full title. Moreno being interim champ also helps the UFC put pressure on Figeredo in contract negotiations.

  41. The question is, why doesn't he have KO power!? He trains everyday yet his punching technique remains crap, his set ups are non existent, singular jab with nothing behind it until he musters the courage to follow it with an ineffective right cross. Theres absolutely no reason he couldn't have polished his punching technique, his punching set ups & attacking tactics by now. He's lazy, entitled & has settled for what he has got, namely a system of fighting that gets him to the final bell. What you see is what you get from Strickland, & thats mostly a jab thats just a jab & a teep kick thats just a teep kick, backed up by good cardio & an ability not to get hit clean when in the pocket. I like Strickland, to a degree, but he has gone from being slightly underrated to being criminally overrated.

If Masvidall is as deep in Martys head as he appears to be I can see him leading the dance at every twist n turn n slicing n dicing Marty up so badly that it gets stopped on cuts or a broken nose or eye socket. Marty cant let Masvidall dictate but I havent seen enough craft outa Marty to stop Masvidall dictating, Martys best hope is that Masvidall tires in the Championship rounds

Its Experiences job to maintain their place at the head of the feeding trough. We arent talking about NOVICES vs Prime Contenders here. Prospects experienced at the regional level vs Vets who have been unsuccessful at the UFC level. In reality its its a regional vs regional, level of competition. What are you crying about ? You want there to be no results n just give everyone a participation trophy ?
