  10. How about the other major historical crash at Lambert Field? In 1966, NASA lost it's first Astronauts Elliot See and Charles Basset in a T-38 that crashed there. Months before the more noteworthy Apolo 1 fire.

  23. It got me thinking, " Why did this film not be a bigger hit?" It came out Dec. 14, 1979. Same week as Steve Martin's, "The Jerk." But the big film that month was the First Star Trek movie. And for the serious crowd, "Kramer vs. Kramer" came out the week after. Still "1941" was the 25th biggest film of the year.
