  6. Easy. CDU/CSU are centre-right. SDP is centre-left. As for the far left, there's a myriad of Stalinist, Trotskyist, Marxist-Leninist and anarchistic parties that can be rightfully describes as far-left, but they have no seats in the Bundestag, nor anywhere else for that matter. If they didn't take themselves so seriously, I would describe them as joke parties.

  9. I just travelled from Singapore to Europe after a prolonged stay. Covid-19 infection rates are about the same. What's not the same are the restrictions that are in place. Singapore's are draconian in comparison, yet it doesn't seem to make a difference. I think you're unduly flattering yourself.

  13.  @harshm6930  I'll answer that. The US did worse. Europe has more than twice the population, so a higher absolute number of deaths is only to be expected. It's funny you say there have not been any "factors". Plenty of elections have taken place, including one in Belarus that erupted in massive protests, which, by the way, are still ongoing.

Being politicians, they would've loooved to discuss the matter endlessly, but their fear of voter backlash was stronger. Democracy in action.
