DW is German press, innit?

@patriotpep Bad spellers of the world untie.
16
Russians still like to travel to Turkey. If there's another mobilisation round, they'll like it even more.
16
@bobroberts2371 Roll across Europe? Russia can't roll across Bakhmut, much less Ukraine. China hasn't fought a modern war, like ever.
16
Hmm, Napoleon is considered the greatest military leader of all time. Zhukov sometimes makes top 10 lists, but not nearly always.
16
Why don't you expose it.
16
Kosovo into NATO and Serbia will tone it down.
16
@v_fencer What matters is that trimetazidine is a banned substance and that it was discovered in her sample only six weeks before the Olympics. You should focus your wondering on why she took the drug in the first place. It's typically prescribed to those who suffer from coronary heart disease. Maybe heart patients can compete in the Olympics in Curling, but certainly not in figure skating.
16
Not a chance. Russia's military is as proficient as you at spelling.
16
@첸새로운날 Your vocabulary is very limited.
15
@UnionGunSlinger Don't lie. Putin has said no such thing. The idea of following in Norway's footsteps in having no permanent NATO bases and no nukes has been floated by centre-leftist and leftist parties in both Finland and Sweden. However, it looks like Finland prefers ambiguity in the matter, as in having a nuclear option, but not exercising it unless Russia ups the ante.
15
@wumaobot Giving away Mali's resources for free would defeat the whole purpose of staging a coup d'état. The Malian military leaders can only enrich themselves by selling resources.
15
And Putin's got both extremes covered, the Communists and the Fascists.
15
@YeTao-i4v The Olympic Games 2024 have been a smashing success, sports-wise and organisationally. The TV ratings say it all, the world is in awe. Cope, Ivan, cope.
15
Because there's a no man's land, as it were, between the Finnish and Russian checkpoints. Russia has no qualms about letting them die there, but Finland is a civilised country.
15
@SoldierGeneral64 The troll is deflecting. Don't fall for it.
15
Then Russia is a parody.
15
@SheryAwan123 ...and Kadyrov was fighting against the Russians, not with them, in the First Chechen War. Kadyrov is a turncoat.
15
A portion of the missiles always gets through. Russia likes to congratulate itself with having the best air defence systems in the world, but nonetheless we've seen the Israelis and Turks push home their attacks in Syria and Libya, even destroying the air defence systems in the process.
15
@JohanKermitBoback7204 I heard the Swedish Greens are coming around and admitting that nuclear energy is green after all. They must've had a good cry about it.
15
It's called totalitarian and it's nothing to boast about, sport.
15
Argentina needs change, but electing a right-wing populist is like peeing your pants. First you feel warm and cosy, but then cold and miserable.
15
Russia kicked out DW. Truthful reporting isn't to Putin's liking.
15
@petegili565 Wrong war, buddy.
15
@thanos7691 The nukes in question come under NATO's nuclear sharing policy. It means the host countries are deciding if and how to use them. None of these host countries borders Russia. Russia, on the other hand, has nuclear weapons in Kaliningrad, which borders nuke-free Poland and Lithuania. Now Belarus, which borders three NATO countries no less, is gaining nuclear weapons. Can you spot the hypocrisy?
15
As a Dutch conscript, I had to fill sandbags during an earlier flood. Morale in the Dutch army wasn't at an all-time high then, but it did shoot up temporarily. After all, we were saving the country from going under, literally.
15
@droiddevx03 There's a jealous Putin bot. Say, do you get a few roubles extra if you like your own comment?
15
@eveleung8855 It all depends on popular opinion towards NATO. In the case of Finland, 79% and were in favour of membership. That being the case, it's perfectly acceptable to let the parliamentary process take over, which resulted in a 96% majority in favour of NATO membership. Your comment begs the question if you practice what you preach. When has the Chinese electorate given the CCP the right to govern in perpetuity?
15
@gdiwolverinemale3rd Wow, you're doing the "no, you are" comeback. A (preschool) classic!
15
@weekdays_warrior What's the Dutch word for whataboutism?
15
@christopherczajasager9030 Not especially, actually. Corruption in the EU manifests itself on a national level. One could say that corruption is an age-old tradition in the nations affected. It's a local problem that needs local solutions.
15
@Gudang9 Ahem, products are manufactured goods. You're saying that Russia has commodities, not products. It's poor consolation, since they can't turn them into products themselves. Instead, they have to rely on foreign manufacturers, which increasingly won't do business with Russia. It's like you're saying that Russian cavemen were the richest of the Stone Age, because they had oil and gas a few kilometres under their feet.
15
Perhaps a mirror has the same effect. Have you tried?
15
@IndependenceforScotland The world is not with Russia. If this were a football match, Russia would've lost 141-5. Even Celtics' many fiascos pale in comparsion.
15
Really now? I can think of several European countries that easily match and even exceed Germany in safety and orderliness. Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands...
15
@shenjiejason8350 Like Western nations? Haven't you heard of Evergrande? You don't need to go abroad for examples of ghost cities, and you don't even need Olympics.
14
@enndee989 Finland bullying Russia? What kind of topsy-turvy, make-believe world do you live in?
14
@richardboote2370 MEPs are elected by the relevant electorates. How's this different from the House of Commons? Can you vouch for each and every British MP? It seems your problem is democracy. What would you like to replace it with?
14
Hooray to that. Truss more than halved the previous record set by George Canning, and she did it without dying in the process!
14
*Some Europeans. Quite a few European countries endured colonial exploitation themselves. We hear little of it nowadays.
14
@julia2k8 People should be sick of coup d'états.
14
@thematic3893 The problem is, Latvia's Russians are "fully integrated" in the Soviet Union, which is no more.
14
You have some weird notions about BRICS and its role in the world.
14
@samuraijack1371 Of course it is. Iran escalated tensions by having their general there, so Israel de-escalated that particular tension.
14
@eetsnada1831 Do you routinely carry an AR-15 in public spaces? If it's a pistol instead, I'd like to see how you'd fare against a trained firearms instructor and reservist who's wielding a long gun fitted with a scope.
14
@OntologicalShock777 Sarcasm works poorly on trolls.
14
The question is, will Russia abandon India? It will take Russia 250 milliseconds (the average human reaction time) to do so if there's a confrontation between India and China.
14
@hovawartfreunde4599 Excellent dry humour.
14
Russia as a strategic partner is a liability for India. We're seeing that already in India's reliance on Russia arms. Russia can't deliver because of manufacturing challenges, compounded by insatiable domestic demand. The serviceability of India's existing Russian kit doesn't bode well either, since Russia has been forced to buy back spare parts from its (former?) customers. Moreover, as Russia grows more and more dependent on China, there's no question of Russia increasingly choosing China's side at the expense of India. You had better rethink your strategic partnerships.
14
Do you have a popular mandate of some sort from Danish voters? If not, pipe down.
