  2. 50 years ago, some loon chasing a woman in the subway would've been gang-tackled by 8 passers by. Now, if you defend yourself or others, YOU go to jail, and the criminal walks off, a free man. Insanity. Democrats want their cities to fail, because since tax reform of 2017, they lost their massive federal subsidy. Before Trump, blue cities would tax the rich without mercy, but the rich could write it all off on their federal tax forms. Now, with a hard cap of something like $10,000, which doesn't affect regular working people, there's no more tax write-off for the rich people who pay for everything in cities like New York. Now, the rich people are moving out, and the cities' crooked way of shifting their wasteful spending onto the backs of citizens in the heartland is no more, they NEED direct federal intervention. They need to force/persuade/invite the federal government to come in and establish order over the chaos these Democrats created, seemingly on purpose, because surely no one was so stupid as to believe their "re-imagining law enforcement" was anything but bad.

  5. A guy like that, with 2 protection orders out against him is the LAST guy you want deciding who gets a housing voucher. Buddies of his? People who can pay him some cash under the table? Women who can pay him under the sheets? A guy with protection orders out on him is the kind who'd use something like that to prey on vulnerable women. Whether he did or not remains to be seen.

A guy like him could inspire 1st- and 2nd-generation immigrants. The stuff the Democrats are pushing - by increasingly oppressive means - go against everything these immigrants believe in. These are strong family-values people, and as soon as they get one whiff of prosperity, or their kid comes home with a pornography assignment for homework, they're never voting Democrat again. We're going to see more and more Latino conservatives. With Charisma. DeSantis, with his nasally twang, is not particularly charismatic. But there are young, liberty-minded firebrands coming up. It's just a matter of time. The Democrats are pulling out all the stops to win, NOW, and defy the majority for years to come. Same with Muslims, of whom Democrats couldn't get enough for the last 10 years. Now, in the UK, you're seeing them protesting LGBTQ indoctrination in local school districts, who QUICKLY capitulate, because they're afraid to tell the Muslims "No."

  13. Democrats are full of compassion, as long as someone else is footing the bill. Republicans hate paying taxes, but are very generous to the disadvantaged. I'm libertarian/Constitutionalist, and I help people, directly. Never got a tax break or anything. I took in a homeless person in the '90s and another in the 2020s. Supported them for a few years, each. Gave one of them a mobile home, so all they needed to pay was lot rent. That's more than any Democrat I know. If every Democrat gave as much as I do, in proportion to their income, there would be no homeless.

I'd call it an "honest mistake," but this was willful ignorance. Anyone not part of their insanity could see this coming a mile away.   27. Trump signed new tax law that set a lid on state and local tax deductions to $10,000, so that the rich didn't get their money back from the feds for the ridiculous state and local taxes. It was a subsidy of blue cities by fly-over country that Trump ended. These failures of blue cities are aimed at getting that money back, one way or another. They're already begging for federal help, running their cities into the ground, creating a disaster area for the feds to bail out, basically continuing the subsidy of blue cities by hard-working small towns and farmers.

  34. Yes. "De-fund the police," supposedly on behalf of blacks, was pushed by White Liberal Democrats, against the wishes of 80% of the blacks in the affected communities. This is how white liberals have always operated. Give them a slogan or an "I'm better than black people and they would be helpless without me" virtue signal of EPIC condescension. This is how inferior individuals can cheaply and easily appear to be better than everybody else. Better than the "poor, disadvantaged blacks" and WAY better than any white people who disagree with them about ANYthing. We used to call it "knee-jerk liberalism," but now we call it "woke" or "NPC programming." It's always been the same: If you oppose this expansion of state power, you're an "ist" and a "phobe" and a "bigot" and "lacking in compassion" or "greedy" or "selfish." Nothing but character assassination of anyone who opposes bigger and more patronizing/condescending/intrusive government. Liberals never think about unintended consequences. They just feel good about always being in favor of The Latest Thing, and WISH there were some kind of social credit score, which they KNOW theirs would be much higher than any Republican's, because as Democrats, they just KNOW they have more compassion and higher emotional intelligence.

  42. The risks are well-known. Aside from the regulations that make doing business in Commiefornia impossible, mismanagement of public lands by state and federal governments is right up there. Pretty much everything they've done has made wild fires more likely. We don't "meddle" with Nature, except to spend millions of dollars putting out natural fires. Then the brush builds up to such an extent that you get conflagrations that can't be fought. It'd be easy - and profitable - to do forest-fire mitigation before the fact, by clearing out the brush and dead wood, where it's built up to conflagration size. Nothing to do with climate change. Everything to do with so-called environmentalists, who faint at the thought of selective harvests or brush clearing. Environmentalists take joy from seeing it all burn up, apparently.

The right to defend yourself from random criminals has been law for over 1,000 years. We don't need 2A for self-defense. Gun-grabber logic defies pre- and post-Enlightenment principles. This is literally a war on enlightenment and The Enlightenment. Oh, and the next time somebody tells you that "the militia" is the National Guard, tell them they're misinformed. In the Revolutionary War, the National Guard would've been working for the British. That is definitely not what the framers intended.

If you legalize it and sell it for cheaper than black market, the druggies will go to the dispensary. I'd rather the fools were supervised when they nod off.   48. I used Insta-Cart for years, but just found too many shoppers/drivers who were creepy or did a poor job. Loved the good ones! Was afraid to entrust my FOOD to some of the others. Gave it up, even though it's probably a good way to shop more efficiently.
