If he tried to fire bad actors, they accused him of a political purge and "Stalinist" tactics. He should've fired James Comey the day he took office, but he was afraid to, because they had already surrounded him with "obstruction snares." With the DOJ in the hip pocket of the Democrats, anything Trump did was scrutinized by a microscope, and anything Biden or Obama did was covered up. It's like the Peaky Blinders run our government, except that the Peaky Blinders hated child abusers.

After all, wouldn't the Creator - if there were one - put natural checks and balances that weighed against stupid stuff? Even if there weren't a Creator, as such, the Nature we see around us does a pretty good job of weeding out stupid stuff. We just think we're separate from Nature, when all creatures are part of Nature. Nature selects against behaviors that are anti-life. Some people equate anti-life with anti-God, and it's not unreasonable to assign to "God" all the uncountable things we can't fully understand, at present. You don't have to anthropomorphize Reality for Reality to exist and exert natural stresses and rewards for smart stuff and punishments for stupid stuff.

  41. Congress legislates on too many things, PERIOD. Doesn't matter what rules you impose to simplify it. The U.S. Government's a big country living in and off of a big country. It meddles in EVERYTHING, so no matter how you structure it, there's still 4,000 pages of legislation, every year. Until they pare back the federal government's responsibilities, and leave them to the states, it will intrude on every matter except those matters it was created to intrude upon, like foreign policy (crap) and defense of our borders (refuses)..

  46. Whether you agree with Megyn Kelly about something is beside the point. She and a growing number of others are proving that there's a huge ecosystem for good news people. They don't have the overhead of a big corporation, and they don't need 20 million subscribers to prosper. I think we're seeing a revolution in media democratization. Legacy media are doing everything possible to work with social media companies to stave it off, but while it kind of sucks to have to live through all the crap that legacy institutions are doing in their desperate effort to remain on top of the pile, and how they work hand-in-glove with government institutions, which are ALSO becoming pretty desperate.

Because health is going to be run by the same asshats into the future with government as the biggest customer of the health care industry, deciding the rules, who gets what, what services are allowed or not allowed, etc. Then the insurance companies weigh in and we get a system that guarantees health insurance combines will flourish, while all government's under-funded wish lists are fulfilled, and government red tape lays a great big bureaucracy that ALSO must eat on top of the whole shebang. They're spending OUR money, and they're never accountable for how wisely the money is spent or if they actually get results. It's ALL about the virtue signal. And the most "generous" legislators always somehow end up becoming millionaires at the public trough. Nothing "illegal," but hey look! A board membership that pays $1 million/year and all the guy has to do is sit in 2 meetings a year! And it's not just the congresspersons. It's their friends and family. Look at Chelsea Clinton or Hunter Biden. And they're just the tip of the iceberg. It's pay to play and if you don't play, you're either a sucker OR you're "mean" and "selfish." All upside-down.
