  2. U can publish freqs as well quite happily I've published in old days royal protection and other special freqs as well as airband military civil and lots more never had any bother from authorities

  21. Then theres cctv listen to things going on, in towns and cities following shop lifters, even police on there at times but u need a dmr radio as many are dmr, fof nd like farms as well lots active at moment

  30. Military use 408 to 413 mhz mostly they don't usually repeater air coms but you'll find crash truck, refuel, raf police, and a tower to units on live side channel like raf Northolt on409. 9 been that 25 years

  31. So if u out looking raf bases communications not all 408 409 arwas with 192.8 hz ctcss everywhere, army and navy use gnd freqs as well! Some at same band some at 430 to 440 mhz

  33. For freqs look at uk scanning directory edition 9 we published lots of CAA 455 and military Base stuff too, yes sone things have changed of course but done are very much still in use but if course some 455 are dmr as well now

Also ofcom database shows the freqs used fm at airports both for the airport, and then individual airlines, so now days u can look up small of larger airfield and find freqs, for example small airfield like Shoreham 169.275 no tone, in an emergency thry switch in the tower freq at many airfield that don't have a repeater

  35. Raf valley we had a good list in uksd I use to stay there watching and listening and compiling 409 mhz users can't say all are active still, but some usually are as sais Northolt twr have been 409.900 many many years

  40. When i say royal communications this is royalty protection and special escort group, royal flight help air to ground still used that one 132.650, shared with coastguard

And diplomatic, royalty, special branch in London area and what was called the purple channel, purple the callsign for royal escorts and persons all assigned a purple number The actual purple channel was 152.5875 am I think and linked on to royal palace switchboards and though never busy was always interesting

  42. Biggest problem with 2009 edition was NATO did a freq change for every uhf mil freq, luckily many were published by them at the time, but meant anything there was pretty much gone

Farnborough airshows this year as usual dmr pmse repeaters but the pm escort and mod and other police had a dmr repeater and I heard the prime minister arrive and what locations he was going to and when he arrived and left those locations and the site Crazy thing was there were 4 dmr enc repeaters as well on site I found so who used them if lots of stuff was being passed over the normal dmr Had police talk with me as well, but I turned off the dmr and stuck with airband when they came lol

  44. BTW that story at 3 minutes on me was press, there was no prosecution of me at that time, most times scanning no prosecution but yes have been, but in fact special branch who knew me well, later asked if I wanted to have bbc prosecuted for there illegal taping of me

I carried on proma for a few years more publishing freqs and callsigns, of met police and others, including the protection callsigns of pm, and many royal family members And freqs used by close protection at the time, and funny thing Is not once did old rca, ofcom or police cause any issue for having stuff published

So despite bbc and media trying there was no prosecution from this case in fact not even any issues with authority at all, not one phone call or letter Had worlr media on doorstep, interview on bbc and it shows and news, paperes, radio station, interest in parliament by Simon Hughes, but not one official Was know to special branch had been in what they call purple collaters watch list, this was anyone who at first might be suspicious turning up at royal events, once they realised I wasn't a danger it was joke with Buckingham Palace police, telling me men in black wanted to speak to me, and when Buckingham Palace first opened up, those guys telling me while in St James park there's no way your going to be let in to the palace
