  2. The WHOLE EXPLANATION of his companies reminds me VERY MUCH of ALAN BOND of Western Australia, originally from London. A TV show went to do a big "RICH MAN is avoiding taxes" hit piece only to find.... HE WAS ACTUALLY BROKE, and then the shares DIED overnight and financial authorities got RIGHT INTO him. He was in jail for 4 years. Died in 2015. Was the face of a recruitment company or something for a couple months around 2010. Very smooth looking guy. Highly hated but won us the Americas Cup on yacht racing. Everyone loved him that day.

  6. Understanding a bit about nuclear, we have had a few nukes tested by the British in the 1950s and in the early 2000s they cleaned the area up and you can now enter it but it is aboriginal lands. The "mining uranium" is not an issue because we have quite a lot of it in at least 2 areas that I can think of off the top of my head. The REFINING however is EXTREME. Now it's less than 1% pure and you need to convert it to a FLOURIDE GAS which is highly corrosive and burn your lungs out AND THEN centrifuge THE ACTUAL GAS at an EXACT speed (which is classified) before converting back to a solid whilst facing high levels of radiation coming thru your refining equipment unless you have an inch or 2 of lead. You need shockingly high tech stuff, everything accounted for, almost handled by robots and graphite rods to stop anything from hitting critical mass. But AFTER you have that refined uranium as a solid it's FAIRLY EASY. You have a gun barrel fired by high explosive not gunpowder (TNT, dynamite whatever) firing one lump into another and that's yer basic hiroshima bomb. I'm not going to explain hydrogen bombs because that's even more complicated. That's why terrorist organizations are more interested in dirty bombs. Just a bit of basic gunpowder to blast a bunch of nuclear waste all over the surrounding area (still radioactive but not effective enough for power generation).

  7. FYI the OLDER "earthmovers" we call mining trucks WERE SMALLER than some of the ones today. What you showed is nowhere near the size of some of them. I worked for a place that built radiators for them. The mining shovels are THE BIG stuff. And we done a radiator for those too. I think there were over 2 ton JUST FOR the empty radiator alone.

BOUGAINVILLE : Real story is that the government of PNG needed the tax dollars of the Australian arm of Rio Tinto (US company) who had been mining gold there and needlessly treating the locals like shit and the PNG army was TOO INEPT to do it. Truth is that ONE MINE was 20% of all tax income for the PNG government. LOTS of shady shit occured including medical blockades that has all come to light now.

  36. It actually WASN'T designed perfectly because the radiator didn't have enough air. I worked for a place that used to build military radiators and radiators for mining equipment and huge generators. I have seen how they do cooling for tanks. They bring air in thru a slot in the top with heavy cast luvres and then it drops down into a box before a fan sucks it sideways and pushes it thru the radiator. The box can effectively catch shrapnel and shit before the fan sucks/blows it thru the radiator.

  48.  @AngryAlfonse  when you realise the EXTREME abuse and screwed up situations that go on there, you realise much of it is just like one generation being survivors of abuse by abusing the next generation. Like how neglected kids end up having kids that THEY then neglect. I'm thinking about the irish because I'm part irish. It's essentially an ongoing train wreck until one generation STOPS the train wreck. And I think that's a fair bit of what's behind it. I asked an Afghan workmate what it was actually like there, and he looks off into the distance remembering thing for a but and turns back to me and says "it's farked, it's just farked". When I started reading about some things, I began to realise how bad it was. Before the taliban and after the soviets left, kabul was run by a series of warlords who were all raping this one boy. They kept kidnapping him off each other every couple of months and each time, HUNDREDS of innocent people would die in the crossfire, shot thru the walls of their homes. The taliban WAS just religious preachers who started a movement and built a militia partly just to stop THAT crap. The taliban was LESS WORSE than the warlords. As brutal as they were. But they were trying to stop the absolutely farked up stuff that was happening. Much BEYOND western comprehension. When you realise that THEY WERE the good guys, you realise how EXTREMELY bad the situation was before them.
