Iron.

@michaelbaxter8249 dust is best.
1
@HJV24 no.
1
Calkimchi no need. Oxygen also comes from the oxide of iron.
1
While wave and tidal power systems are feasible, ongoing maintenance costs tend to be much greater than solar or wind, and they will still need batteries to some extent.
1
Let's just get on with it. It clearly works!!!!!
1
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
1
All the modules would have to be compatible with the loop. This is currently not the case for Lagacy EV's, only for Tesla.
1
@carholic-sz3qv and your point is???
1
@carholic-sz3qv what rubbish.
1
@carholic-sz3qv not a problem. Learn Physics.
1
@ezye97 showing your abysmal ignorance of SMR's. Go learn.
1
@typhoon743 they hijack for a ransom, not because they like nukes...
1
@carholic-sz3qv biofuels are a joke.
1
@paulbedichek2679 hahaha! THAT would be a BIG aircraft!
1
@tedl2711 if it's a Thoroum LFTR, they can't steal any nuclear material!
1
@ezye97 plenty of nuclear power vessels have sunk. The oceans aren't killing us. Please explain.
1
Umm, how could solar panels improve diesel mileage? Sorry, but your musings about improving efficiency come across as crazy.

A few rhoughts: 1. Not ALL internal combustion vehicles HAVE TO BE replaced with electric. As long as enough mass production vehicles and electric power generation are replaced, we can reduce CO² emissions enough to reverse global warming. 2. Internal combustion engines produce particulates and other noxious products such as oxides of nitrogen, which are hazardous to health. Continuing use of ICE vehicles is hazardous to health, particularly in high population density areas such as cities and along transport corridors. 3. The cost of running battery electric vehicles is so low that economics will determine which areas of transport become electrified as much as practicality.
1
Cheaper to go to local electric generation via wind and solar PV.
1
You won't, it won't.
1
Way too expensive compared the BEV.
1
The whole automotive industry has to pivot to 48V.
1
Thanks for the insights, Ricky.
1
You need to do more research on EV's. They're much better than you think!
1
The important thing to be doing at the same time is to build renewable energy superabundance with as much solar, wind and storage as possible to power all these water saving and/or water production systems without compromise
1
"Ground-breaking" lol.
1
A ship would be be a classic case where the weight of batteries would not be a problem, surely!

At 13.59 you say that ALL nuclear reactors produce nuclear waste with half-lives of tens of thousands of years. Not true. Solid fuel nukes do need to be refuelled and the fuel rods reprocessed regularly, every year or two, but one BIG exception is molten salt reactors where the fuel is in liquid state, dissolved in a carrier salt such as Lithium fluoride. The nuclear fuel in these reactors is virtually completely consumed, and the waste products collected and removed on a regular basis. So instead of ending up with high level waste due only consuming a few percent of the available energy in the original fuel, with super-long half lives, the LFTR uses almost 100% of the energy present in the fuel load, resulting in much less and more benign waste with much shorter half lives. This, IMHO, is one of the prime benefits of the molten salt type of reactor.

Nope, just keen to survive. Spoiler alert, they won't.
1
@rustyshackle917 me too, and we have two Corollas in the family!
1
@jugganaut33 and the understanding of physics...

*The word is "fewer", not "less". People are units, not quantities.
1
It's a high speed CAN bus. Not Ethernet as such, just Ethernet speed.
1
Heating is best done via electric heat pump.
1
Might need some sort of wet vac system to get the dirt out!
1
Higher voltage marginally increases the need for insulation, so overall wire diameter is NOT strictly reduced by the voltage. Also, the reduction in wire gauge (i.e. diameter) is a function of current, not voltage. The cross-sectional area reduces linearly with the current for the same power loss due to resistance.

With respect, it's not likely to be a bearing, more likely a jammed brake. The brake heats the bearing and the axle generally and can cause relatively rapid failure of the axle/ wheel combination. Jammed brakes are relatively common, and the monitoring systems are there due to the prevalence of this tyoe of fault.

Petrol does the same thing. As it evaporates, it cools down the fuel/air mixture.😮
1
He's getting old. Cut him some slack!
1
That's why it's a ring. A single break will not result in failure, bit will be flagged as an error.

"Marred"? or 'mired'...
1
Care to mention the brand?
1
@ksnax that's what regular inspections are for...
1
@ksnax why would it not? With stupid bandwidth available, there's no reason to filter the mechanical feedback.
1
@xiaoka if he's not careful, he might end up president. ...of the galactic Empire!
1
It will be...
1
I recommend you study Musk and Tesla to get the answers to your questions!
1
Carbon fibre overwrapped pressure vessels. Ask OceanGate about their long term reliability.
1
I have a $50 induction cook top and the only noise it makes is the fan. I love it, it's so quick and easy compared to using the solid hot plate electric stove, which is THE SLOWEST cooking system on the planet.
