It drives great! I also agree that full rock crawlers drive horrible on the roads. On the roads, we want something safe, reliable, comfortable, very stable, and mild off road use on crappy roads and trails. Nothing too crazy for off roading. For serious off roading, we would rather build a cheap dedicated rig.

@ebnhahn1993 safe looking? That’s a weird statement. Not sure why some are afraid of a great looking vehicle.
2
Minivans have sliding doors. This doesn’t. I don’t see it. Looks like an SUV to me.
2
@smittysmitty481 Yes. How many years ago?
2
I agree.
2
@JP_P3X 1958 LC is so noisy driving on highway. Its 4 cylinder is annoying too. I was disappointed with it.
2
You can add a lift. Easy to do. They sell the parts. A few people already have lifted theirs.
2
@trailrunnah8886 It’s too slow and lethargic feeling. Too much sway and nose dive. Love the way it looks. Fit and finish is cheap though for all that money.
2
@BoiseTDI It’s way better than a Tundra. Tundra gets 17 highway. Ridgeline gets 25.
2
@Lionelrockz 4Runner is as old as it gets. Very lethargic and slow. Plus AWD is better than 4WD on roads, where everyone drives them anyway. Hopefully new 4Runner is an improvement. It will have a 4 cylinder though. Will also be made in Mexico too. No more Japan made vehicles for US market.
2
Not selling as well as others though. Which means you can get discounts on these. Most people are buying Kias instead for all the tech and 100k warranty. So Honda is only selling 1/3 of the passports compared to the competitors. So they need to move the Passports at discount.
2
98 percent of people with 4Runners never take them off road. Even ones with widdle wadders on the back. It’s all for looks and images for the net.
2
Pilot for amazing daily driving and comfort. Plus amazing drivetrain. 4Runner for rock crawling and deep mud. I wish 4Runners were not so lethargic to drive. Engine and trans is so slow and lazy. Lots of body roll too.
2
@kevinstarski1598 They could blame added flex from suspension warped sunroof. They try to find anything to avoid warranty repair.

Dealers won’t charge extra for tariffs. They will go out of business. Ford just gave a huge discount to offset tariffs. Invoice pricing now.
1
Better because it’s made in Japan.
1
This needs a lift, skid plates, and off road tires. Which they sell and you will have a great vehicle after that. Well that is if you take it off-road, which nobody who’s buying these do, other than 1 percent. People just love off-road look

65k with a 4 cylinder? Heck no.
1
4Runner will be 70k plus.
1
It’s not bad. Just don’t use it with Car Play.
1
It’s not bad. It’s the over sensitive yaw rate sensor. New pilot changed their software. It’s also driver error. He’s trying to drive it into the earth.
1
@LoveLikeaHurricane 2.0T in a full size like this will be bad. Not many will buy it. Won’t be any better in fuel as the 4 cylinder will stress more. V6 is the best thing about these.
1
@RRr-yl8zr Go buy yourself a 4Runner if you go offroading everyday.
1
Worth every penny. Plus they hold their value amazing. They stopped making them. Only 250 new ones were made.
1
@mharro88 These cars don’t fall apart. Best built Audi car next to R8.
1
@mharro88 I have 100k hard driven miles on mine. Been perfect and super reliable. Best car I’ve owned out of 100 plus cars I’ve had.
1
Toyota knows how to market to its buyers. They know people only want appearance packages and will pay dearly for that Toyota badge.
1
Government is forcing all electric. V8’s are all going away. We won’t have options soon.
1
Sounds like want them to go out of business. Don’t hate your Toyota trucks that bad?
1
Just build a monster truck and don’t waste your time with daily drivers.
1
I’m a true German die hard fan and Passport makes sense. It’s very reminiscent of old German cars on the inside. Simple but well laid out design. Very ergonomically friendly. It’s the only Honda that drives great other than Type R. Acura MDX is nice too, but it’s price is too close to Germans which makes Acura useless to buy at that competitive price. B58 engine all day over Acura for same price.
1
@drivingsports True. It’s a great AWD system. Even by todays standards years later. Glad Honda didn’t ruin it with hybrid and CVT.
1
In today’s high inflation, they only have funds to do one at a time.
1
It’s made for small trails. Not climbing big rock mounds.
1
Toyota paid them to make cheaper. Toyota knows people buy these for an appearance package. People only care for that badge. A huge win for Toyota. 🎉
1
Ground clearance is crap.
1
It’s floaty and a boat. It’s not meant for handling. Topher showed its handling and wasn’t great. It’s an off road truck.
1
I know everyone is looking for those 15 inch screens and TikTok in their vehicles now. Think of this as an old school German interior with great ergonomics. It just works and is rugged. All you need is Apple car play.
1
4Runner is awful driving on road. Plus you can’t drive it in AWD in snow storms.
1
I would never buy anything with a CVT. Wow! That thing loves to understeer.
1
Only GM I would ever buy is a GM with a V8 except crappy 5.3 GM doesn’t make good V6 or 4 cylinders. Their transmissions are crap too. Too many sensors fail on them. My friend owns a transmission shop and he makes a ton of money from GM vehicles. Especially new ones shipped from GM. Cadillacs have a ton of issues the most.
1
Audi makes a superb AWD system. I always wanted to lift one. SQ5 would be a beast.
1
@pjohn9012 Most people won’t even use the offroad capability of the Land Cruiser. Most people who buy 4Runners and Jeeps keep them on the roads. Especially after paying 70k. That’s why you see many sell them after realizing poor mpg for just a daily driver. They had big dreams to go off-roading, but nobody does in new vehicles. A passport is more of what people need and use daily.
1
They don’t pay him. Toyota won’t pay anyone.
1
Mazda is so blah and loud slow engine. Passport feels more lively and higher end. Much more evenly balanced.
1
My favorites are from top are and only ones with experience are: BMW X5 Audi SQ5 Acura MDX Type S Acura MDX A spec Honda Passport Trailsport Acura RDX
1
No. It’s always on.
1
Except when you have to drive in a snow blizzard for 3 hours. 4 wheel drive transfer case will overheat. AWD is better for road use.
1
Me neither. Worst transmissions.
