Stock, the throttle is weird till you tune it. Audi dialed it back big time to not compete with their other high end cars. That’s why tunes are putting 100hp on them with ease. A tune transforms this car and can spank almost anything on the road. Springs and a rear sway bar transforms this car big time. I almost got an M2, but was too slow for my liking. Fun backroad car, but highway is not great.

Longer than that. GM kept millions of mechanics in business. Millions of homes were built, just from mechanics making money from working mainly on GM vehicles. This is why the government loves them.
1
There still are. Honda, Toyota, Nissan, GM, and Ford.
1
6.2
1
They will have a prelude soon. Not many 2 door civics were sold, so they stopped making them.
1
Yes they lied. It’s a 2018.
1
Only stock. A tune, DP, and fuel it will run high 10’s. Faster in a week with better tunes on the way. A C8 can’t touch that for the price.
1
They knew the C8 was coming out so they changed their game plan.

@mbox314 BMW still makes the best power plant. The B58 straight 6 along with the best transmission ZF8 speed in the business. They deal with emissions, yet produce 400hp very reliable and 30mpg ins performance drivetrain. Sad American companies and do this. Mainly because they don’t want to spend money. Anything America builds is budget quality with a high price tag to consumers. This is why I’ve only been buying German for past 10 years. No issues.

Going 10.8 with ease in the first week of tuning, I wouldn’t call it a joke. We are realizing this block is capable of 1000hp. More than you will ever need for the streets.
1
They still use video reels to edit. 😂
1
0-60 in (come on, let’s not push it).
1
But the new C8 will destroy this in every category as they are with 300,000 cars too. That’s why Toyota didn’t build their own car. They knew what GM was doing.

I remember this voice as a kid 30 years ago.

It’s a beginners car to learn manual on.
1
Handling is great and shifting feel is great on Si. Hybrid is great because it’s instant power and torque at 0 rpm. No lag. The 1.5 is an awful engine though. Si has always been a slow manual car for beginners and commuters. It’s all about shifting and handling. Technically, the hybrid is a much better car. Put a better suspension in it for cheap money and an its superb handling car. It’s a zippy car that’s super reliable.

They were also a year lateen their review. Car has been out for 16 months in the US. The car shown here is actually an 18. No 19’s are in the US.
1
It’s a totally different driving car. You literally feel the quality difference big time.
1
Aaron Marsh judging by the numbers it’s doing at the track and the engine tear down, it doesn’t look like a letdown. It’s a better car in every way than the previous Supra.
1
It’s the performance loss the manual has.
1
Some have gotten hybrid to 6.2 on streets. Si on street is 7-8 seconds. Si is very slow.
1
They needed to make them safer from impact against all the larger SUVs out there. So that impacted the size and they had to make it bigger and safer. It’s still a small car. It’s just not a kids size car anymore.
1
They didn’t sell well in the 90’s. Fit and finish were awful. Paint all faded off, interiors were truck like. I know all about them. I’ve worked on plenty of them. Only good thing was the engine only if modded.
1
They are killing every 2 door rear drive car under 300,000 plus. Not just Toyota. They just took full domination of the sports car, exotic, track, muscle car market. GM just didn’t drop the mic, they shattered it into a million pieces with no competition in sight ever!!!!
1
The Prelude is coming soon. It will be a quick little hybrid. It will be the quickest prelude.
1
You said popular among households. I thought you said assholes.

Problem is the mustangs take a huge hit in value. M2 will hold the value longer. Plus it’s much more rare. Mustangs are everywhere. In the long run if you were to sell both in a few years, you would lose double on the Mustang vs the M2. M2 would cost less to own for 3 years. I’m 10 years, it will probably hit 40k and stay there. Mustangs will hit 10k value. 20k difference. Just look at E46 M3’s in good shape vs a Mustang GT the same condition and year. M3 is worth 3 times more. It’s not how much you pay for something, it’s how much you lose in 5 years of ownership.

Do you mean Brakes? You said Breaks!

A tune, E85 and a DP, it hit 10.9. That’s pretty good for just the beginning of only being out for a month. The video of the engine tear down, it looks like it’s gonna be capable of close to 1000 hp. The biggest bonus that was a shock to me was the fueling. BMW and Toyota advanced it for tuners. It’s fueling is ready for some serious power. This is where every other car fails at.

Toyota fans don’t buy expensive sports cars. Even in the past they barely sold Supras. Celiacs were barely selling so they even killed those off too. Toyota fans are about lower fit and finish with reliability in front. They are about cost savings. It’s about point A to point B without being flashy. Being conservative is the main goal. Toyota is going after a whole different market too. Customers that spend extra money on the fit and finish and people that love to mod their cars. Toyota has been studying the German car industry and want their buyers. People that are buying these cars are middle aged IT guys looking for a sports car. Most of them come from BMW’s, Audi’s, MB’s. Toyota knows it’s a way to get the German buyers to come in and look at their brands. Toyota will do very well with it. It’s the most controversial car now with lots of negativity from the non buyers who couldn’t afford it anyway. The real buyers look at the positive points of the car. They realize it’s a great car with lots of potential with a tune. They are the ones buying it.
