Audi’s really know how to build them.
36
Exactly. Acura was supposed to be the higher end model of Honda, yet they got the crappy 1.5 and CVT. They should have went with Hybrid drivetrain.
26
Way overpriced for an outdated interior. Hopefully they update it in a year.
26
A lot slower too with only 204 hp.
16
Two totally different vehicles. Passport is a much better daily driver. Easier to get in and out of. A lot more comfortable with lots of room. 4Runner is impossible to get in rear seats. You have to bend yourself over the tire notch. Smaller interior and crammed back seats My friend just got his TRD Pro 4 Runner yesterday. His wife complained non stop with how hard it is to get kids in back seats. She has a hard time getting in front with no steps. 4Runner 4 cylinder engine is a loud 4 cylinder. Both look amazing. 4Runner is huge on the outside, but small on inside. Sloped windshield takes up tons of interior room. TRD Pro is 75k. Mark ups is over 86k.
12
Closest they’ve come to the 240z. I like it so far.
11
@PNW_Sportbike_Life New 4 Runner looks insane in person, especially the pro. It’s impossible to get in and out of though. Back seat opening to get in and out is a complete nightmare. Not family friendly. Honda did an amazing job though. Especially in orange and green. Those look spectacular! So user friendly too. Hondas gonna sell a lot of them.

Anything is better looking than the accord.
8
Honda nailed this one amazingly! Looks amazing!

@ChampCloud_TLX I do love them, but the transmission and transfer cases are very weak. Too many have blown up. Honda knew this when things changed after Covid and they couldn’t get dual clutch transmission for them. Parts shortage forced them to use 10 speed in house transmission’s made in US. They lowered redline to 6k max. Locked ecu down so no tuning can be done. They wanted safe. Unfortunately lots of stock ones have blown up. You can’t punch it around corners with this car. It will strip the gears in transfer case and many have done. It’s getting very common now. Acura is discontinuing it now. Not enough sales neither. They are making enough parts to fix the MDX’s instead. If they come out with a revised gear shaft for the transfer case, then it will be worth owning one, but it looks like it’s still the same shaft and they won’t revise it. Honda is cutting cost. So they are done with performance in US made vehicles. If someone buys one of these used, use heavy caution. Do not buy them at carmax or caravana. Only at an Acura dealer and get an extended warranty. Don’t tune it neither or Acura will deny claims like they did to many. Many have been denied for having an intake.
7
Just don’t mod it. Those 1.5’s don’t like mods.
7
This got the crappy 1.5 and CVt. They should have put in the hybrid drivetrain than it would have been awesome.
7
@Liberalhunter89 weak transmissions and transfer cases. Look at videos on issues. Reddit has a group full of issues. Acura is discontinuing the TLX S. MDX are having same issues. Covid and parts shortage forced them to use cheap parts. They never did revise parts neither. So sad. Honda failed its customers once again. Honda America just wants to build hybrid cars now and stay away from performance. They did it to the Accord. No more turbos to tune and modify. No more K series. No more V6 cars. All will eventually be hybrid. Only thing they got good now is Type R and new Passport TS Elite. Eventually those will be gone.
7
We are all getting old. 😢
6
Not worth it with mark up. Pass!
5
It’s slow though at 290 with how heavy it is. Base should have been 330 hp and Type s should be 400. Especially for the prices. 75k for a Type S with only 355 hp is too expensive. I worry about these transmissions as many have had issues. This is also a heavily traded in vehicle for other makes.
5
@user54huhifck57 No they haven’t. You spread the same lies all over the place.
5
Handles much better too. A lot more room for passengers. Flat load floor. Cargo area is a lot bigger. V6 engine No frame to rust out Unibody is stronger in accidents.
5
ZL1 Camaro is cheaper, faster, and much more lively. RCF just has more luxury feel. 2020 GT 500 is same price and that car has more soul while still being comfortable. RCF is a great Japanese muscle car which is rare from the average car. Competition is what kills the sales of these brand new. That’s why the value is dropping fast on them. Lexus will stop making this car soon. Not enough sales.
4
A 330 is 10 times better.
4
Will void warranty. The transfer cases have issues.
4
Awful engine. 1.5 is trash.
4
@William Arrington That’s actually how I got into my RS3 years ago. The dealers wanted 60k for the Type R’s, so I spent 60k on a better car. I’m happy that Honda chased me away with my money. I got a better car. I’m loving the RS3 and it’s a monster tuned!
4
You can buy metal ones.
4
Most reliable? They are having issues with transmissions and transfer cases. That’s why I won’t buy one. Many have traded them in. That’s why you see so many for sale.
3
Sounds like you typed this at a bar! 😂
3
I e had my RS3 for almost 2 years and beat the crap out of it with 40k miles. Solid with no issues. It’s the engine and transmission you are paying for. It’s bullet proof drivetrain.
3
Pektra Mom What does a Q5/7 have to do with an RS3? We are talking about an RS3. A lot of us are abusing the heck out of these.
3
Next model will be electric.
3
Still way better than CVT.
3
He also goes back to the 80’s for the real Twinkies.
3
@a.b-q5t Dealer can add spare tire in civic. The hatches now come with it as standard.
3
Look amazing!
3
RS3 ‘s have been pretty reliable. Lots of guys have them tuned running 600hp with ease. The past 2 years we haven’t really heard anything major. Most guys who own these are also pounding the heck out of them. Including me! There are quite a few of them running 9’s in the quarter mile. Lots of videos on here. It’s a super car killer with bolt on parts. They also get loud with a downpipe. Sounds like a V10.
3
So true. Modules can be 500 and up. Bulbs are cheap.
3
This needed the hybrid. The 1.5 isn’t capable of 250 hp.
3
Thats what he needs to do. The outside sound is my favorite part of the five cylinder.
3
This got my attention.
3
Camry is uncomfortable. Tons of rattles too.
3
@stevethomas760 plan on paying 20k over sticker. Especially this year. Every car is marked over sticker because of shortage in supply. Employees will not even be able to get MSRP unless they are a manager. Times have changed.
3
This is a GM produced vehicle. Honda had to cut back costs.
3
Legend17 Two different types of cars. The RS3 is spunky, 10 times better engine and trans, better sound. The S4 is more subtle, more luxury, and not as sporty. The turbo V6 is ok, but nothing special in terms of performance and tunes. The 5 cylinder is a monster with all the tunes out.
3
Not even close
3
Honda wins at driving feel. Toyota is just an appliance.
2
Cadillac needs to build better vehicles. All these crossovers are cheaply built and overpriced. Engines and transmissions are crap. I’d go German all day long over this. Better quality and will last longer.
2
I haven’t seen you smile and laugh like this in a long time. These are great cars.
2
Porsche makes the best cars.
2
These are the worst seats ever. So uncomfortable.
2
Cool car, but it’s slow.
2
@RaitisRides It’s 0-60 is 7 seconds. Wish it was a little more under 5 seconds.
