  1. @William Van Dusen Also, back then, people probably rarely lived as long as most people expect to today. In pre-Biblical times, you croaked from one of those various plague or pox type of diseases, or you died in combat, or they crucified you, or something like that. So, a fat guy and a fit one both had roughly the same lifespan--and less of it than today. If you croaked when you were 30, it was still a little early, but so many other people did as well that it was just seen as being on the budget end of normal.

  11. I'm pretty sure it went through because a machine gun or automatic weapon was defined in legislation as a weapon that fires continuously when the trigger is pulled and held. The bump stock doesn't work that way, it fires once per trigger pull and is therefore not a machine gun/automatic weapon.

Because it is legal to exceed the posted speed limit when passing, and limiting the top speed to the fastest highway speed still allows reckless speeding in areas with much lower speed limits anyway so it's a moot point. Look at it this way, going 90 MPH on a 75 MPH highway when conditions allow it is a hell of a lot safer than going 75 MPH in a 30 MPH residential area!

  15. Yeah, it's called an "ass kicking." Thing is, young girls always do it. They always have and always will. Boys their own age are pathetic--they don't have any money, many of them don't even have a driver's license let alone have a vehicle at their personal disposal, no money to take her out all the time, buy her lots of very expensive clothes etc. These poor young sods are still basically just schoolchildren even though they're actually adolescents and not children at all. Their whole lives are mostly nothing but schoolwork and they have zero cash, so lots of girls--especially the cutest ones--aren't going to waste their time on these very young guys. So, young girls lie about their age so they can bang much older guys and try to get their money, get taken out and doted on, and make other girls jealous. It's been done forever.

  16. Let's skip all the jibba-jabba and say straight up that here in Canada, and probably down in the States as well, police forces are run by psychopaths. Police administrators in Canada, by and large, will freely admit that they have no conscience, and that it's their "nature". So, you need guns. That's all there is to it--to hell with legislation, "rights" and all that. The cops are run by psychopaths, you need weapons.

  21. I'm not sure it really has so much to do with eating 'healthier', so much as it has to do with just eating a helluva lot less! Burgers, fries, bacon, ok--everyone knows that stuff has lots of calories, but holy smokes, if you eat the weight of a cow in food every week, you're gonna blow up. It doesn't matter if it's the weight of a cow in salad, or eating an actual whole cow :)
