However, following someone; much less following someone while you're wearing a gun is extremely dangerous. In fact, it's lethal. GZ's stupidity ended another person's life & ruined his own.

  7. If Zimmerman didn't create a hostile situation by unlawfully following him in his car then on foot then going in his pocket, maybe Trayvon wouldn't have felt the need to beat his ass. But that would mean that Zimmerman wouldn't have pretended to be a cop because he had permission to carry a pistol & he'd taken some crim-jus classes. That would also mean that he wouldn't have grown up thinking he was law enforcement on account his daddy was a magistrate.

  14. That;s not what happened. As per Zimmerman's own account, Trayvon approached George & asked him if there was a problem. That's when Zimmerman fished into his pocket. And yes, if I turn around & swing on you after your aggressive pursuit of me, I AM standing my ground. Here's a test for you. I'm 6'5", 230lbs, fit & all kinds of mean if you're an enemy to me. Can I go following your sister or mother or girlfriend or niece or even your kid brother without you being at least a little anxious?

What's negligible here is that he escalated the level of violence to lethal force. What's even more negligible is if he created the situation. Following Trayvon was an act of aggression. He let his aggressive motives be known during the emergency call. GZ is toast.

  21. Zimmerman was taking crim-jus classes. He'd applied for cadet candidacy & was denied. He's a holster-sniffer. He knows about chain of evidence. He was just zealous. As for Trayvon's "history" it's not pertinent here. He's not on trial for murder. Besides, you can't say, "Trayvon was a bad person so George is innocent". The jury will be asked if George's behavior was negligent. That's what's germane here.

Even if it were, Zimmerman had no business trying to "investigate"; let alone mete out punishment. He (George) stepped outside his legal boundaries when he stalked that kid; in the car AND on foot.
