  19. I used to be in the financial industry. I can tell you from experience that most Chinese don't believe in insurance. They don't even believe in financial planning.

  20. You can't just demand longer working hours. For companies to justify doing that, there has to be high demand for your product, therefore, more production. If your employer doesn't want to give you overtime it's because they can't afford to and they can't justify doing it because demand is not there. It's common sense! Just look for part time work elsewhere.

  24. I used to work in a payday loan store which also accepts gold. Most people who are selling their gold sell at a loss. Gold itself does nothing. It's purely speculative. Who is going to buy their gold when times are tough? Will it even be sold at a healthy profit margin? Chinese never learn like with their real estate.

  40. There's credit card debt that are used to fill the gap between actual income and essentials and credit card debt to fund a flashy lifestyle. A lot of Chinese fall for the latter because it's cultural. Americans also flex but it's not as widespread a cultural phenomenon as in China. Why do you think luxury brands love China? Lots of those purchases are financed by debt.
