This is the Wrights Law that Cathy Woods didn't bet heavy on...

@TheJmac82 lol, if you're judging a stock based on 3 weeks then maybe you don't actually believe in the company. If you don't understand how market equilibrium swing from under exuberant to over-exuberant then maybe you should just stay out of the market completely. Yes things got bit up quite a bit... Still doesn't change the fact that business is good for Nvidia. I bought Nvidia @300 before it dipped to 112.... Yeah, 180-200% gain, what a sucker I am, right???

Uh, they can and do. I work in a highly regulated industry you wouldn't believe the type of dumb, worthless stuff they have us do.

@bill_the_butcher You like hypocrisy, dontcha buddy

Depends what you're relying on to tell you whether a business is good or bad... Are you relying on the stock price or the underlying fundamentals? I bought AMD from 93 down to 75... Average price of 86. Then I averaged up a nibble at 145 and with XLNX arbitrage @115... Now I have a 95cost basis with current price of 114. What's the point? Averaging down is good because it lowers your average price, but what matters even more is accumulating good quality companies at a fair price, whether that is trending up or down really shouldn't be the big issue.

@briancase6180 It's faster than Moore's Law (CPU compute), it's been named Huang's law (GPU compute), with help from Wright's Law.

Someone is uppity...

Lmao, most investors are so quarter to quarter. Do you believe in the long term research ARK is doing or did you just buy for the 2020 upswing?
1
Yo Alex, thanks for having a consistent framework for viewing investment decisions! You rock! Love the MIT shirts!

Why not Zoidberg?

Even though I generally like ark, I do think they trade a little bit more than they need to... That said they do need to trade daily to keep their open ETF weighting on track.

@michellekaufman1374 Maybe I'm wrong but it would seem like that would increase the risk and reward for Tesla- there might be more deaths and negative PR about Tesla's running into ambulances, but exposing Tesla AI to more unique situations unfenced increases the number of data points being logged for quicker and more robust software in the future. But that's just my own uneducated opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@thestocksource8393 12mo Pt's are 100 to 200. 125 to 130 it a totally fine place to start a position. Stocks look forward, not back. Don't worry about missing the boat, just get on the ship!

Alex does have a great vibe, it'd be cool to share a beer and/or a bowl with him and just chat.

I'd go with QQQ/ QQQM and SMH etfs

@ec4146 QQQM and SMH

@KazG84 My fav ETF, my 2nd fav is QQQM!

@jackalopefpv1708 Hippie? I guess not wanting to blow up innocent wedding parties in Yemen and make money off of death makes me a flower child. War is a racket. Also, check your facts; From the Verge: "As for the increase in revenue, $102 million came from existing Palantir customers, according to TechCrunch’s analysis. Palantir brought in $345.5 million from work with the US government last year, and $397 million from commercial clients, according to the Times. Palantir is best known for its work with the US government, which have included a contract with the Army to develop a new intelligence interpretation platform, worth an estimated $823 million. It’s also worked in the past with US Customs and Border Protection to track immigrants and travelers at the border, and in 2018, was found to be secretly testing its predictive policing software in New Orleans." I didn't realize 45% of business revenue was a small portion... Lol.

@jackalopefpv1708 I never said they weren't a good investment, I said it was bad ESG. Its AI data analytics will be very profitable, big data is a gold mine, but I don't plan on holding it unless is slides into an ETF I hold. You are hilarious in your inability to see the basic fact that it profitable but not ESG. I like how blockchain tech of web 3.0 empowers users to own their own data. It's a different philosophy of ownership and privacy.

@TickerSymbolYOU ARKX is gonna have the Wright Stuff for lift off.
1
@TickerSymbolYOU What are your thoughts on owning the QQQ? Stable growth companies like AAPL, MSFT, GOOG and exposure to high growth plays like AMZN, NVDA, TSLA?

@blakejohnson3864 I wrote you a reply but YT took it down. I will say one of the most annoying things about owning Google stock is that they keep taking down my comments on YouTube when there's nothing wrong with them... Honest makes me vexed when I'm just trying to have a conversation with somebody- I didn't go to college, internet conversations have stimulated my self-guided learning so theyre very important to me.

@AC-ge2tr This is very true. Especially with Russia denying the sovereignty of Ukraine, it raises fears even more. Taiwan only has a military budget of $7B, although they are slowly adding to their military stockpile.
1
@g.i.520 I draw a hard line in the sand with wr monger manufacturers. I use vanguards ESG to get sp500 like returns with no weapons and tobacco. Capitalism itself is not ESG, but I have standards. You would invest in Blackwater, or whatever they go by these days, and call it "being successful".
1
@dynestis2875 lmao, what a low IQ thing to say.
1
Could be that he's trying to compete with arkk which means differentiating away from its core investment
1
@dfv671 lol, no way. This stock can still breathe 25% this quarter based on historical PEs. 12mo PTs are 100-200, mostly around 150-180.

While, I'd love to join your kumbaya circle, I'm not forgetting that GM created the first electric car and then ripped it away from its happy customers and destroyed it because the oil money was too good. You're talking about loving companies that don't care about you or humanity.
