@travr6 I don't care about the what the majority likes, my taste buds aren't a democracy.

@travr6 My taste buds aren't a democracy, I don't care what the majority likes.
1
@travr6 Then why did you start talking about experts, blind taste tests, and what the Irish prefer... 😉 I was tongue and cheek until you started with that hog wash.
1
@travr6 lmao, you talked about taste test which I assume was with experts, but maybe it was just novices like you. C'mon man, I'm not actually mad, I'm just talkin' some trash. It's a whiskey opinion, not a land dispute. Chill out 😂
1
@travr6 Did you really just double down on your seriousness by trying to prove thaat the larger market share of bourbon necessarily means that it's better. Scotland is a much smaller place with higher restrictions, bourbon can be created all across the United States with highly subsidized corn. I was being jovial before but let's get serious, just because something is more popular does not mean that it's better. Next you're going to tell me Fords are better cars than Koenigsegg because they have a larger market share, lol... And I even love my Ford Fiesta ST, but I know this is ridiculous.

An original old one with 5k mi on it is rare... That's what's so sad/ funny Scott could've just bought a regular non-orginal E30 and modded it for at least 200k less.
1
You understand there are a lot of e30s out there..... The fact that there's one that looks exactly like how the designers envisioned it is kinda cool. If you wanted an E30 I don't know why he had to spend an extra $200,000 just to vandalize some heritage. Not even into BMWs just seems foolish.
1
@superslow7609 I know its his money but it's pretty fucking stupid overpaid $200,000 for a pristine car that you're just going to modify when you could buy a cheaper one and do the exact same thing for less and not altered a clean car. Like I said, foolish.
1
This dude wants to put 100k mi on a $25M McLaren.... Please be my guest take that 20 million dollar depreciation hit.
1
@jcrami3504 Some machines can be moving pieces of art. I would go so as to say, you're not a real car enthusiast unless you agree with that statement.
1
@jcrami3504 Lmao... Okay it's not a statue, it's not a painting, It's not pottery. What's your point? Did you mean "get off your high horse it's a car not piece of art", because that's the way it sounded... But if you're saying that it's not a literal immovable statue, no shit, it drives, just a few miles though, there are loads of other e30s that you could drive intensely, the beauty of this specific one is that it wasn't beat up like the rest. It was unique because it was original, it was taken care of. I just don't understand why he didn't buy another E30 for 50k instead of poking holes in a factory car from 1988.

The Louvre owns the Mona Lisa does that mean the Louvre can just draw on the Mona Lisa and nobody's going to get mad?
1
You could tell how much it hurt him to recount the story. Seems like a guy with a real passion for minty's.
1
A "orginal" appraisal is not reversible after modifying.... Some people dont understand that.
1
@honestyisthegucci It's about authenticity. The way a hood latches could be altered. It sounds silly but little details that exemplify the craftsmanship of the time is part of the historic importance of a piece like that. I recently saw a video of a 1960s factory condition Porsche, whose door handles were noted as being tactile in a way that showed off the detailing of the 1960s. Yes there is a certain fetishism of purity, but that satisfaction from purity can be found in uncanny ways. Point is it's not just reversible, for a certain demographic who wants to indulge in the 1980s construction.
1
@Turshin You realize rappers often rent mansions and cars for their music videos, right?
1
Could've bought one for 50k. Save 200 grand and no one would be disappointed. Rappers are suckers for big price tags.
1
1) he didn't sell it to Scott, 2) it'd be a non-issue if it was almost any other E30. You could easily have those W's without vandalizing heritage, Scott could have save 200k too... Lol, smdh.
1
He put 3,000 mi on a 8,000 mi mint BWM.... Stfu
1
kind of surprises me how many people on this car enthusiast video don't understand how slightly modifying a mint condition car takes away a lot of the value of a car being mint conditioned. Smh.
1
@SamBao Not really. I drive a modified car, and I respect tuner culture. I just acknowledge that Scott overpaid 200k for an E30 that he could drill holes into :P
1
Yeah cuz why mention it was mint condition.... Not like it adds a bunch of value to it or anything.
1
It cost more. Dumb rapper flex, they'll buy anything if you just make it cost a lot.
1
What kind of mash bill did you guys use? Is it mainly corn?
1
And if somebody vandalized a Van Gogh they owned I'm sure nobody would be angry right....
1
@cody.l lololololol sure
1
imagine not realizing that he spent an extra $200,000 to vandalize heritage when he could have just bought any other E30 for 50 grand.... Lmao, what a twit.
1
@zkhydro4985 Okay, Keith Richards
1
Now that's a spicy meatball!
1
You don't just "tastefully modify" a 30-year-old BMW with 8,000 mi by drilling holes into it .... A tasteful mod would be a new set of tires or a battery.
1
So if I owned a Van Gogh, I could just burn it and the art community should stfu, cuz it mine? Lol. Okay.
1
@aky19832001 Wouldn't be so cool if the Louvre put up video of them putting red lipstick on the Mona Lisa? Who cares about history, they should "make it their own".
1
@aky19832001 I fully understand the fact that Travis Scott doesn't give a fuck... And that's what's a little annoying, you don't just drill holes in a 30-year-old BMW with 8,000 mi on it. And it's completely bullshit to say it wouldn't have been sold if it didn't have historical value. The only reason why it was sold for $250,000 is because it has historical value, that's why the second dude tripled his money. Scott was just able to pay because he's a rich fuck who said "I want that one.... I don't care if I could get basically the same type for 50 grand and not destroy a piece of history, tHaT oNe cOsT mOrE." In typical dipshit rapper style. That's the issue -_-
1
@bennycss Please learn why mint condition cars are rare...please learn that getting a new hood doesn't make it mint any more. Smdh.
1
@ahendricks36 No, they take the doggy and drill holes in its nose, paint it's fur, and paraded it around for an album cover glorifying the satanic torturing of a puppy.... Then auction it off for charity. These people are monsters.
