The FCC-license and public-utility regulations are for the local TV stations that use public airwaves. That's why most "cable news" in America is improperly categorized as "news." CNN's news division and other channels, like Foxnews, are essentially self-regulated and use the same journalistic ethics as a newspaper. The local affiliates of Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC, and radio-broadcasts are the ones with subjected to FCC licensing and regulations. If you've noticed, local Fox stations carefully selects which segments from Foxnews to incorporate in their local coverage. They never include the opinion hosts like Tucker or Sean Hannity. The Sunday-morning news are considered the "real journalist."

@trevorguthrie3054 "Fake news" still subjects them to slander, fraud, any other tort claims. The government could get them to stop calling it "news," but the First Amendment protects the right of a regulation-free press and outlaws government-controlled propaganda during peacetime.

I'm not sure why you're mentioning me and expecting me to read that novel of propaganda you wrote, but when you're done collecting the millions of Russian body parts scattered around a country they had no business in, you will still be in denial about losing a bare minimum of 15,000.

@marsluk6456 Patriotism plays a role, but the fact that Putin ruined two great and proud Slavic countries (Russia + Ukraine) is why he must lose and be removed. Most of the world can't distinguish a Russian, Belarusian, or Ukrainian. Moscow should be defending them. If Biden put himself and his pride before the US and started a war between the US and French-speaking Canadians, I wouldn't want a military defeat but I'd want him gone ASAP. The Russian people have done this before and are the only ones who can fix their country. I get that they don't want to live in a US-dominate world, but Putin's action are making US hegemony over Europe stronger.

@tbren9341 The US created a global hegemony and a modern-day British Empire. Outside of Congress, there's no referendum or vote on US foreign policy because people don't understand the US' role in the world. The corporations and special interests do, but not the majority of the individuals. NATO isn't a charity or an international philanthropic organization. It's a military alliance that came to our aid after 9/11. It's also the alliance that makes the US President the "leader of the free world." America rebuilt Western Europe to have more markets to sell our military equipment, services, and products. Had we let it collapse and turn communist that would have harmed our international trade. America isn't isolationist and has spent the last 150 years building a superpower. I get that it looks like we're being the "worlds police," but we get an economic return on our foreign policy. We wouldn't be sending money around the world if they didn't come with strings attached. One of the reasons Putin doesn't want Ukraine and Georgia in NATO is because Russia would lose another country that buys weapons. Ukraine would have to start buying more weapons from the West if they ever join NATO. The US historically had the anti-imperialist Monroe Doctrine in North and South America. Neither China nor Russia have hostile doctrines opposing other superpowers from entering their spheres of influence.

Neither Putin nor the commander is not that crazy. The only way Russia could attack Ukraine is because it's not in NATO. Look at how his economy and military are performing now. Why would any reasonable person bring in fresh NATO troops, including the US into a war that Russia is already losing against Ukraine? There are plenty experts on geopolitics and military affairs. You should let them do the analysis because theirs make sense.

If you don't know anything about the battlefield situation or geopolitics, then don't pretend to be an expert. Nothing you've posted is supported by facts or evidence. You're essentially being a Russian "useful idiot" and CCP bot spreading misinformation. If any weapon systems were "useless," they wouldn't have requested them and Russia wouldn't try to use these idle threats of retaliation. Let smarter people give war updates.

For the most part, the CCP isn't as reckless as Moscow. Providing lethal aid to Russia to fight a war of aggression against a smaller nation isn't worth the risk of losing market access to the US, EU, Japan, and other English-speaking Western countries.

@Patrick Joos Russia knows that, too. That's why I highly doubt they'd invade because the Ukrainians aren't going to just welcome them in a liberators. This is more of a game of chess to get some sanctions relief, new nuclear treaty, and reduction in US troop levels in Europe. NATO has a military budget the same size as the entire Russian GDP. They can afford an arms race; Russia can't.

@RealSweetKid Both just finally realized they were killing people who never attacked them. It's kind of sad because none of the people there in 2001 even survived; and I doubt anyone remembers the country before 1979. @franzhaas5597 If it were serious, I honestly couldn't tell. I've never one quizzed a Trump supporters of why they're Republican because most say why, and I already know from following politics most of my adult life. I didn't think you were serious because this country has had the same political split for the last two decades. It sounds more like you're trying to get validation or make some kind of political discussion about the Democrats. If you genuinely wanted to know the answers, you could research it rather than asking a politically charges question in the comments, one day after the country just voted. There aren't not many independents in America. For some strange reason, Trump supporters are the only who pretend to be moderates as of that's a political virtue. If you're still trying to figure out the appeal of Democrats, find out why people support Trump first, and then ask non-Trump voters to consider switching parties. That will give you the answer of why people are voting Democrat.

He claimed that he asked conservatives and gets like 20 different answer, but when the Trump supporters commented, he acted as if it never happened. I don't mind people sharing their political beliefs, but for some reason, Trump voters are the only ones who lie about being a Democrat or a moderate. There's nothing wrong with being conservative. I could respect that, but rather than being transparent, they play this same game about being "undecided." I think it's because they don't want to have to defend any of Trump's policies and actions. The point is to just limit the discussion to positives of Trump and negatives of the democrats. This same routine is becoming obvious and people aren't falling for same act of being a dissatisfied liberal voter who only wants to talk about problems with the Democrats. It comes off as just cowardly and dishonest. The OP is seeking praise and likes from Trump voters because they're going to have positive thoughts of someone switching political parties.

It's time to stop pretending that you have a legitimate point and genuine question. Your true motive was to complain about the election results.
