The decision to prosecute is solely up to the US attorney general, Futon Co., GA district attorney, and the grand jury they might or might not impanel. I couldn't tell you whether they will or won't because I don't have access to the state's cases and evidence. Some of those previous presidents you've listed were never under federal criminal investigation, and with the exception of Nixon, they essentially had a form of sovereign immunity.

A civil war would last hours at most, and would abruptly end as soon as the first MAGA supporter sees a tank in the street. It's possible a "Cold Civil War" could happen, but the US is too rich and powerful to held hostage by Trump cultist with the average age of 75 years.

I don't agree with their politics or their views on the government's role in the pandemic, but they don't sound violent or hateful, and they have an a point of view and position regarding "non-Trumpers" that is nearly the exact opposite of ours. When I hear them mention the media, they seem to genuinely believe that the media is brainwashing us. They makeup significant fraction of the population, so we still have to share the country with them. If all they want is to be heard and for us to listen to their bizarre conspiracy theories and pseudoscience, we should just listen to them and just treat MAGA as a new religion. I'm not saying that we should not call them out on obvious lies, but we should make an effort to reach an understanding with them. I won't lie, the thought of Trump getting re-elected is terrifying, but he's essentially God to a lot of them, so having open dialogue with help stop them thinking that owning the libs and regaining power is more important than the country and surviving the pandemic.

  16. The concerns and hypotheticals about the voir dire jury selection is a matter for the court, prosecutors, and defendants. This is what the American and English judicial systems have done for centuries. They've likely already started with a grand jury to bring felony charges. If the trial results in a "hung jury," judge will typically declare a mistrial. That's not a valid excuse to not hold Trump and his associates legally accountable.

I'm a hyper-partisan Democrat, super competitive, and want the GOP and MAGA-backed candidates to lose, but I don't know how politicians like MTG sleep at night after encouraging their base to reject vaccines that could save lives. They don't realize that their base can't vote of they're on a ventilator or dead from COVID-19.

Fauci has never made a single pandemic guidelines or had authority to act without the FDA, CDC, the White House, and the NIH. He's been a government spokesperson on epidemics and immunologist since HIV/AIDS crisis. He led the task force setup under Bush to provide most of Africa with AIDS and malaria drugs. That accomplishment alone was enough to make him world renowned. During the COVID pandemic, I've heard people on the Right take his previous statements and used them out of context. They do the exact reverse with Trump is corrected. They call him a "flip flopper" by following the scientific method and changing the recommendations based on the data and evidence. He's not even the one changing the recommendations and regulations, so they act as if he's the World's Surgeon General and head of the World Health Organization. Dr. Fauci isn't perfect and he does work as a civil servant, so why science, medicine, and consistent metrics to hold him accountable instead of the conspiracy theory BS?

Give them some time to process the news and the ongoing failures of Russia's "special military operation." Right now, I'm sure most of them that were chanting "Lock her up," and posting daily about Hunter's laptop from hell are under a lot of pressure now and are intentionally avoiding reports about current events. Despite your free-speech rights and popularity among the non-MAGA and anti-Putin community, they might feel like you're kicking them while they're down.
