Depends who's building it. ๐๐ We poured the foundation for Diablo Canyon backwards. They had to change a bunch of stuff around, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Politicians and Protestors make it expensive and slow. ๐ The Commies and Big Oil were behind it. My Dad went inside Three Mile Island not long after the accident. He lived into his '80s. Was that TMI? The AEC, and then NRC were trying to do all the research we're having to do now. That was decades ago, and disinformation was always interfering. Like I said, Big Oil and Commies. The GE/Hitachi plants will only take 2-3 years. The design is rubber stamp, to build them all over the place.

The insulation was flammable too. Live and learn. The overall design proved its worth because it didn't melt down. Close! ๐ โย @iamchillydoggย
2
Disinformation was a constant drag. It slowed us down by decades.
2
Lots of younger generation people I know, don't want to have kids. It's more of an accident than a plan.

I think we could end up total homogeneity, and they will bore us all to death. There's a bunch of science fiction on YouTube and all the stories end up sounding the same. Idk how much is ChatGTB, but the thought is certainly there, or lack thereof.
2
NOAA had all the data we needed to prove it back then, and they still have everything.
2
Well if you were to have absolutely impenetrable insulation, your body heat would be plenty. Ultimately, you might suffocate though.
2
Well, since we're asking questions, how hard is it really to plant a tree? They grow by themselves for the most part. We mostly need to stop cutting them down. We still are in this country, more forest than we put back, except in the Northeast. I don't mean the black walnut tree in my backyard though, that's too close to the house. Bill Gates used to sell computers. I think he means do the math. ๐ญ Forests sequester carbon. That is an indisputable fact, but somebody will! Right Bill?

Hopefully they won't be lithium forever.

Theories are not facts, Mother told me... Photons from the future.

๐ The lowest allowable temperature for chafing dishes to keep food from going bad is 60ยฐC, 140ยฐF. That's a temperature you would not want to keep your hand on for very long. You should Alt between Right, and Left if you do.
2
We've had computers for almost a century. Are we saying they're self-aware now?

All I know is, people suck!

What about Ted?

You're absolutely right about the blowback from taxpayers and other funding methods. The results of the last election are partly because of the broken trust between the public and the scientific community. A few white lies here and there have opened the way for politicians to exploit doubts of professional integrity in much critical research.

This AI isn't real. It's just algorithms in fancy computers.

I bet Hal could make a Top 40 hit!

It wouldn't be enough anyway. Get ready for the decline of humanity..

As another commenter said, you can still drive electric near home, which is most of the time. You only need to burn fossil fuel on longer trips. The petroleum business will slowly wain, and we are running out of a finite resource anyway. By then, the grid could be working the way it's supposed to be.

It's the programmers...
1
They already extract pure oxygen from air. They want the nitrogen so they can make "Green Ammonia" by combining it with hydrogen. When are they going to realize they can put oxygen and hydrogen in local charging stations and generate "Green Power!"

As North Americans, we must support our local dinosaurs, even the ones in Congress. For that matter, on the UN too, but that would mean countries too.

I think he meant, "National Museum of Natural History", which would stragely place it in the country of, "New York." ย @zero_point_zero_zeroย

Well, Kpop is probably already using it. You should check out Karina aespa, people can hardly tell if she's real or not.

If everybody starts eating enough legumes to offset the protein in a meat diet, they will make as much methane as the animals we replaced.

Go big or go home! With more reactors, we can pump water as far inland as we need.

I believe she said that, Doctor McCoy. If you say words that are sometimes used in derogatory ways, Yahoo will block you. Things like the J-word for example, which is perfectly fine with 'J-words.'

We even keep cats in boxes, or don't you know? ๐ ๐ฆ

This current evolution isn't really artificial intelligence, it's just learning software withmore computing power. In order to be intelligence, it has to be able to evolve and learn autonomously. It's still dependent on programmers. I would be more worried about them.
1
American institutions are robbing us blind. Electricity has gone way up while gas stays the same, even though the electricity is generated by gas. Everybody is price gouging here, and both parties are letting them.
1
There massive pikitically motivated resistance to research. Also the oil companies and the commies had "environmental" groups in their back pockets.
