Agreed fully. I thought the attack on Kiev was misguided. I did not expect that. I cannot see Putin backing down with nothing to show so unless he get Donbas soon I think he will escalate.
10
@panzerviiimaus1581 its a completely different situation with Ukraine. I really cannot see Russia attacking Finland. The issue with joining is they are putting a bullseye on themselves if NATO puts anything serious there.
8
@jimmiller5600 atually Finland is nothing like Ukraine. "Possible NATO candidate?" Easy NATO candidate. Very western aligned. Completely different from Ukraine. Finland has no Russian diaspora of significance. Finland was not part of USSR Finland has no easy access to Russia compared to Ukraine. The border exist but my understanding is the road network is very limited. Compare that to open plains. Moldova has a separatist Russian population that is much more aligned with Russia. Why are they not allowed self determination? "Please reply -- Do all the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) members have veto power like NATO?" Now that is a really poor argument. How they set their organisation is their business. Just like NATO not having a clear path to deal with issues like Turkey not wanting Finaland and Sweden. That is a major failing in their structure but its their business. You seem to have the impression that everyone should have a say. Nothing in the world works like that. Try doing that at any real job or in the army and see what happens.
6
@jimmiller5600 clearly you do not comprehend. Read over my first comment. If you cannot catch then there is no point explaining more. This is as simple minded as the comment that NATO is only on 6% of Russia's border.
6
Don't get in a fight you cannot support yourself. Should have taken the deal in Istanbul.
5
@tanker00v25 Zelensky is a bully. He tries to intimidate nations to support. Glad someone had the balls to call him out. Note this has nothing to do with a country supporting Ukraine. It's about Zelensky's tone and rhetoric.
4
@sogerc1 realistically there would have been treated as if they were in NATO anyway. If this war was with Finland I suspect most if not all of NATO would have sent troops.
4
That would require more work on the part of the presenters and possibly lead to a more boring video that is not as suitable for their audience. It's so much easier to say washing machines are used for chips.
4
@TheWaynester101 I didn't expect him to go past Donbas but now that he has attacked outside of that area I agree with you. He cannot expect to keep Ukraine but he might as well put a pro Russian leader.
3
Their opinion is irrelevant. They are just the workforce. The money, intelligence and weapons comes from others. Remove any or all three and Ukraine falls in weeks at most. Let me make it simpler to understand. Have you ever asked a beggar what he wants?
3
baileyboy73 baileyboy73 "Russia has some serious military issues in its command structure right now" Agreed on this so Sweden and Finland joining makes even less sense. Russia has been shown up in quite a number of areas.
3
@chrisworthman3191 I think you misunderstand the Russian geography and reality. Calling a large part of 144 million people that made some of the best advances stupid doesn't make sense.
3
Finland and Sweden were de facto members for some time now. The final signature is not going to change much.
3
@Hardcore_Remixer the other blogger is not sharp enough to catch the war and the claims made by Zelensky are two independent issues. You are wasting time.
2
@tanker00v25 asking? No he tries to shame nations into helping. His rhetoric is really annoying. Did he not tell the security council to disband if they cannot do something? There are dozens of examples like that.
2
@ellied.violet7372 glad to hear that. Maybe the media didn't show that or maybe I missed it. He is begging. He should be a little humble.
2
@ellied.violet7372 thanks for the insight. I had not heard that side of things. Unfortunate Zelensky is the face of the war in Ukraine. This really need fast resolution and it does not appear he is the man to do it.
2
@weirdo1060 you give Biden and Blinken too much credit with respect to thinking.
2
@triklettriklerbu1592 they have fighters already. That's wasting money and stressing the economy more.
2
Getting facts right will not suit most of the viewing audience. They just cannot see the reality several years later.
2
@stevea2909 assuming the media is not lying then sure they are buying washing machines. The chip in a washing machine is no more complex than an arduino nano. Go on ebay and check. You will see that you can buy these direct from china (or a knock off that functions the same) for under USD$3. Why buy a washing machine to open for a chip that its unclear whether it can even be overwritten? They would need hardware to interface and the manufacturer software to program easily. The arduino comes with pinouts already for use and a USB interface for programming. Software for programming is free. Even easy to get free libraries online so its not starting from scratch. There is a huge community out there for support / information. What surprises me is more people are not speaking out that this makes no sense.
2
Time to start insulting Zelensky. Apart from being an idiot he is a bully.
2
So basically people are stupid.
2
@dkdiego505 "Disgusting company". What do you expect. Steve Jobs had a lot to do with their ethic.
2
@Hardcore_Remixer interesting angle. I didn't look at it that way.
1
@joshuavanzuydam5044 well said. Sadly in the age of technology accurate information is even more difficult to come by.
1
@sandoristar7597 agreed. It really comes down to looking at the logic and seeing what makes sense. All sides are full of propaganda. Putin's terms are not that bad. If they can put some guarantees in to ensure he will adhere this war can stop. Ukraine needs to accept the regions that are gone. They need to drop the whole NATO thing. I believe that will be enough for Putin to claim victory at home and pull out.
1
The problem is probably finding the original. Repeat it enough and people will believe without question, especially if it suits their views.
1
@sandoristar7597 its the people of Ukraine that needs to realise Zelensky is the problem. He walked a thin line and lost. It should not have come to this. Or course I am not saying Putin is not to blame too but Ukranians cannot do anything about Putin. They can about Zelensky. He needs to go regardless of how this turns out.
1
@sandoristar7597 definitely both have blame in this. How its share is a matter of opinion but those who pick one side or another are being naive. Further all the big actors in the limelight now condemning have a piece of the blame too. They could have stepped in and tried to straighten this out with as much zeal as they had to throw sanctions. But alas war is good business for most of them and its not their citizens dying. They not even getting blamed for being reactive instead of proactive.
1
@tanker00v25 lets agree to disagree. I am not amused and you clearly are.
1
@IvanADigon no one is saying they are incapable of fighting as people. However they are incapable of putting up any serious fight without donated weapons. They have no money to buy weapons. Heck that takes years anyway. They do not even have money to run the country. Its supported by US mostly at present. How long do you think a government that does not pay its workers will last? The soldiers are not fighting for thanks. They are fighting for a salary paid by NATO. They are just slightly above Wagner. Both are at the mercy of the weapon suppliers and paymasters.
1
I don't understand why he didn't just say Ukraine will eventually join NATO. They will be at Moscow's doorstep and this has stop. Sounds a lot better than his current narrative.
1
@rick7424 you've lost me there. Are you saying Putin always tells the truth and he will not "lie" and say its NATO pushing him? Hmm. And you think the neo nazis explanation sounds better and is true?
1
Its actually said correctly in the video and blatant from statements most notably from Blinken. Surprised such a western channel said it blatantly though.
1
@78alJ0vle as a response to nuclear weapons in Turkey. Should be interesting if Russia goes back to Cuba if Finland or Sweden host nukes.
1
NATO is very involved. What happens if China starts supplying Russia. After all is done here the US is going after China. They make no secrets about that.
1
Zelensky is such a baby. He is constantly crying or begging for something. Military fatigues? Seems most of the time he is hiding somewhere. Definitely not close to the front lines. I really cannot see how the men on the ground can have any respect.
1
@rick7424 have you seen anyone beg more? Zelensky is partly responsible for this mess. It takes two parties that wont back down to reach to this stage. That's just the reality but of course the majority here wont catch it.
1
Basically EU just proved how dumb they are. Any child over 5 could tell you kids don't share if you are against them.
1
Don't bother to check again. You people will never catch that is was not Ukrainian nukes just like the nukes in Germany is not theirs.
1
If US does not openly "encourage" some members of NATO no new nations will get in. Clearly that is not happening for Ukraine because US itself is not convinced at this stage. With US elections around the corner the clock is ticking for Ukraine to give Biden a return on his support. No big wins and more western equipment being blown up will mean the democrats will need to find a way out.
1
Taiwan is a pawn. US is only pushing the Taiwan issue for China to make a "mistake" that they can use to "legitimately" sanction China. They need to do this to stop China. In 5 years from now it will be too late. China will pass the US fully in economical terms and from there it will be a slow decline for the US dollar as a reserve currency. This is a last ditch attempt to break the cycle now. Poor EU is confused. They want to trade with China but they want to keep friends with the US. They do not want to be too dependent on either. Plus they want their own companies to survive post cheap energy from Russia. On top of all of that they want everyone to embrace their "rainbow" because of course they are culturally superior and right.
1
Yup NAMA and corruption. Deliberate raising of the property values by the government.
1
Aren't they purchasing new fighters? Seems like a bad plan to spend when your economy is not great.
1
Zelensky is an idiot. He is getting his country destroyed due to pure ignorance and inability to negotiate. He cries like a baby every day begging but on the other side Ukraine is winning and destroying everything Russian. I am amused people have any respect. EU politicians are milking this. Even the ones who do not agree cannot stand up or they will get crucified in the public forum. They just playing the game for now. Heck even Boris is surviving when his future was unclear. When this finishes they will all be friends again but Ukraine will still be destroyed.
1
@fromatoz8597 which world do you live in? Clearly not a real one.
1
Might be the only smart European country.
1
That would be sad. He might be as stupid as Zelensky.
1
@KOLESNiii it just goes to show independent organizations do not really exist. Sad really. Even this platform censors my comments on the war. Theoretically its supposed to be independent.
