Tough ride and I hope that you get your property! God bless you all and tell the wife and Gus I hope that you have a great Holiday Season and a Merry Christmas! From my family to yours I wish you a great day today! 😉

Your going to be way better off filling up the filter. Engineering major/ mechanical engineer worked for GM told me that years ago. Won't hurt anything.
1
Those are some nice easy to drive and good running care. Only difference between that and mine was mine had 4 doors and was 21' long.
1
You are able to make it home safely as where most people would fail! 😉

I have been doing this kind of work since the late 80's, 88/89 and I made a C-Clamp for what you used the ball joint press for, and I would have never thought of using that for that, but I will say that is a great idea for doing that. I have been using my old C-Clamp that I cut the end off of and welded a socket on the screw for a gun or big ratchet! Had it ever since say 91/92 thanks for sharing that today I will use the press on the bigger ones instead of struggling sometimes with the old faithful one I made years ago. Happy Boating.

3 times a week and I have gotten the same results! 🤔😔.

Go look up parts for a 1979 AMC Jeep 304, they are one of the most awesome motors out there and my favorite is the 401 AMC and my friend had one in Highschool and we would put a 12 oz. beer in front of the front tires and take bets that he could wheelie over it without crushing it or touching it. Would make it over every time.

Just like a seasoned pro! Great job.
1
Looks good if you get rid of the lewk
1
Get the big one out.
1
We took the motor and transmission out of one of those and put it in a V6 S-10 Blazer. Equaled pure fun!

I try clicking on the link you and Gus has provided, and my phone, nor my computer will not let me on it says is unsafe and unsecured? Just gives me some big full screen white page with no information. 🙄🤔😔

Better pull out the plugs
1
Your rolling in the good tools now.

27:03 those are some of the worst ones that I have seen in a while! I'm used to seeing things like that on a 50-69's era stuff, but I have to say that those are now the ones that are replacing the older ones that I have worked on.
1
That torque spec is for 3/4" and now 7/8" those are more.
1
Gus testing out the sleep ride, Gus approved! 💯%
1
If my old man memory is still working good 😊 the stock was a 3" exhaust.
1
I like the old rides solid dependable and fires up and right, all that matters is that you and Gus is Kinging! ⚡🔥🧐😉

Be careful many people have perished by a simple mistake.

26:10 I have a great amount of those books, back in the day when I started out you knew the old timers that you could ask, knew someone who was a mechanic at the dealership, and learned it from writing it down on paper and using tags for on stuff, and bought the manuals and books like you showed. Then before the Cell phone and smartphones they come out with the digital camera with the little screen on the back I used that with the new fangled OBD I then the OBD 2 and you know the rest. The worst ones were the Mercedes Benz, Audi, and VW manuals from back then 90' & 2000's and expensive and I still have them. Why I have kept them all I don't know but I should get rid of them, it is like a great library that you don't use much anymore with today's gadgets.
1
Always maintenance on mine. Runs better if you keep it on 50 try it out.
1
If you double down God bless you 🙏. I just want one similar 😢 to that to put in the garage and put some time in the garage and enjoy the ride and hopefully make it to retirement being a old mechanic or 40 years and still have 15-20 to get SSI unless my legs keep going down hill and have to get on SSD. Trying to get to the final time and get a classic but the prices are ridiculous today and I am kicking my rear for getting rid of the last one. Have a great afternoon and you two have a great weekend.

1
Chris it you have that piece of the shifter or can get the dimensions of it. If you could get a back up shifter or just the piece I know a guy who is able to make one if he can see (get machinist measurements) to make you one . Been doing it for 3 generations and they are all still there for now.

I am in A small town north of Pittsburgh PA. Where are you approximately in our great nation.

1
Back in the day that is what they used.
1
Propane is a great clean burning fuel and the plugs tell the story. Ether kills, if abused.
1
Shouldn't have beat it so bad yet but it's a good thing to get it out of the way now.
1
What is the other channel?
1
