  3.  @Saeedmustapha-v1l  I said, during the moon landings. Did you know (of course not) that a lunar day is 29 earth days? They were there during the dawn of the lunar day. With that in mind, the Apollo 11 recorded moon surface temperatures were -9F to 44F. Another fact you might want to consider, is that there is no atmosphere on the moon, so even with those temperatures, not much heat transfer going on.

  19. Ok, so maybe the flag was moving because of other reasons, than wind. A horizontal rod at the top, keeping the flag up, and an astronaut touching the flag pole, caused it to move. With such light gravity and no atmosphere on the moon, it kept moving for an extra second or two longer. Never thought of that, right? I thought Netherlanders were supposed to be smart?

NASA engineer Kelly Smith is talking about Orion, not Apollo, and the sensitivity of its modern microcircuit electronics, to radiation. The physically big electronics of Apollo were much more robust.

If you watch the whole Kelly Smith video, you will also hear where he talks about how "Orion has shielding, to be put to the test as it cuts through the waves of radiation." Orion made a successful orbit (no astronauts on board) around the moon last year, so the electronics will be fine.
