  22.  @glennledrew8347  i've just heard that the Leo I tank had an automatic to close up the optics whenever the gun fired (to prevent blinding) but i never learned why exactly. Thanks for sheding some light on the subject. PS: since i've tried a bit of hobby astronomie myself, just in case you want to switch from the binoculars to an telescope, the mounting for it is actualy the most important part (since you have to adjust for the rotation of earth) and unfortunately many hobby telescopes cant do this. So research can save you a lot of frustration.

  45.  @mpetersen6  it was considerd even before WW I and in the early years of the cold war. The problem is that any Submarine is extremely vulnerable to any hit. Thus making the Sub a litteral sitting Duck, in turn forcing it to abandon any mission at the slightest sign of Trouble.
