I think Detroit has competition.
298
These houses have been abandoned a long time. This didn't just happen yesterday. Once they were all thriving neighborhoods which shows how huge the auto industry was and how it provided a good life for so many people before it all fell apart.

Detroit residents should be real proud of themselves, what they've done to their neighborhoods in that they've forced fast food restaurants to protect themselves as if it were a bank. It's probably the only way people will work there.

There used to be a guy who patrolled the abandoned neighborhoods of Detroit, keeping an eye on what was going on and reporting crimes. I watched a lot of his videos but can't recall who he was now. This was a few years ago.
86
I see a lot of expensive cars parked on the street.I sure as hell wouldn't want to leave my car parked in this neighborhood.
83
Some roads ad neighborhoods are so bad the city simply block them off. E. Cleveland didn't want to be a part of bigger Cleveland, opting to stand on its own. Economic base was lost, and you have Detroit 2.0. E. Cleveland is definitely one of the worst places for deterioration in the country. No place in America should look like this.
72
How about these people standing around with nothing to do, I assume on unemployment, food stamps and welfare, organize community crime watch groups, clean up the litter and leave the empty houses alone, unvandalized? They could put their idle time to some use if they had a lick of motivation. The city might even help them do it and provide assistance. Instead they lie around and blame everyone else.
67
Detroit maybe a bit worse.
52
Human trash!
51
This is what's become of what was once the most beautiful state in the union. Where's Gavin Newsom? Keep voting for democrats, CA! I feel sorry for the dogs.
45
To hell with him. Why doesn't the get off his ass and help clean up the neighborhood?
45
Is it any wonder? They'd be robbed, looted and vandalized in no time. You cannot afford to do business in such an environment as Detroit today.
44
It's a tough call but I think Detroit continues to be the winner. I can't get over the amount of trash thrown all over in both places. As if abandoned and burned out buildings aren't enough, the trash is everywhere. That any place in America should look like this is an absolute disgrace.
43
It's nice to know this is our nation's capitol!
39
There's always a few houses in nice shape and still lived in among all the abandoned and vandalized stuff. Some people keep hanging on hoping for a better future. I wonder what they pay in real estate taxes? They should be allowed to live there tax-free.
38
Terrance: I think Detroit is the champion of urban decay.
34
Detroit has a serious urban decay problem and can't do anything about it. LA has a serious homeless problem and won't do anything about it. For some reason te clientele are always the same.
32
I notice in these videos there's always a few home scattered about that are still lived in as people try to hang on, or, as you say, can't sell if they wanted to.
29
I wonder if Gavin Newsom ever takes this drive?
25
@briroc26 AOC's doing a great job, isn't she?
25
Entitlement mentality. She needs $20 so someone is supposed to just hand it over.
24
In this case, below sea level!
24
All these jerks standing around with nothing to do. How about they clean up their neighborhood?
23
200 billion for Ukraine but no money to help these people out.
23
What a thriving metropolis Detroit once was. It's hard to believe how badly it's deteriorated over the years yet some people manage to hang on and keep up their houses. It appears many more tear downs are needed.
21
It sure would. Obviously they weren't' built to accommodate cars.
20
Nowhere in the USA should look like this.
19
It's a typical old PA industrial town like Bethlehem, Allentown, Scranton, you name it. No more industry, but somehow people manage to hang on.
18
I certainly do appreciate Charlie Boo's videos. They take me lots of places I'd never be otherwise. Here it seems to be nothing but rampant poverty and ramshackle buildings as far as the eye can see.
18
Just when i thought we'd seen the worst of Detroit, Charlie brings us this. Shocking a huge city could become so devastated and it's been going on a long time. This level of urban decay didn't happen overnight.
18
He sure beats up his car doing these videos. Nice of him to do that to bring this information to everyone.
18
Not too long ago these hoods were totally dark at night. Detroit has managed to put in quite a few street lights.
17
Still doens't look as bad as Detroit, E. Cleveland, Gary, IN or Cairo, IL, to name a few. Remember when it used to be fun to go to Mexico even if just for a day of shopping?
17
Off somewhere trying to promote woke agendas.
17
Looks like a rather depressing place to live.
17
No matter how impoverished these places are there's always some expensive vehicles and cars with no license plates. All these places look as if theyr'e built on a flood plane. Don't want to live there. I feel sorry for the dogs I saw.
17
People who stayed in their homes and kept them up should be gifted the lot or buildings on either side of them to do with as they wish.
16
All of those houses must have been lived in at one time with friends and neighbors all around. They've been empty for a long time. This didn't happen overnight.
16
Every time I think Detroit can't get any worse Charlie Boo comes out with a new video that proves me wrong, or at least shows it's not getting any better. It's still hard to believe a city in the USA could fall into such rack and ruin and so many obviously once beautiful homes simply abandoned and left to vandalism and arson.
16
Some people are hanging on hoping for a miracle.
15
What a nice environment in which to raise children.
14
Of all the towns Charlie Boo has presented that I've watched, I think these were the worst roads. Then there's always a few that dump old mattresses out along the street. How do the graffiti artists get up to high to paint their murals?
14
I noticed a few rather expensive vehicles; monster pickups, SUVs. I can't afford them. How do they do it?
14
I wonder if they were going to do that. Thanks, guys!
14
Thanks for the tour. It's incredible how they keep all those old high-rise apartments and businesses going. amazing infrastructure.
14
Lots of videos on Detroit, but not much on Flint since the last year. Flint's been forgotten.
14
Another victim of the decline of the auto industry. Buick City was here once; 250 acres, GM's oldest and largest facility. Even after spending million to renovate and upgrade it, they closed and tore it down. Who knows how many jobs were lost.
13
Same old story. The jobs leave and the town goes to hell. Campell's Soup used to be here.
13
Looks much worse than Jersey City. Trash, bad roads, abandoned factories and the jobs that went with them, lots of cars but hardly a soul around. No thanks.
13
Welcome to a state run by democrats.
