According to the House of Commons minutes for the F-35 project in the UK, the RAF had stated the Typhoon was $160mil each and a politician asked why shouldn't the government just replace the Typhoon with the F-35A. The RAFs response was that the Typhoon was operational and the F-35A was not operational yet.

  29. USN Budget Overviews have the Super Hornet at gross cost $95mil each while the F-35A has fallen to $85mil each. The F-35B last I checked a few years ago was $140mil each and the Marines were holding out for them.

  34.  @play_boy7543  Completely untrue, in the Pacific the United States was the only force capable of defeating Japan and the USA was already winning after the battle of Midway. As for the European theater the United States took command of the entire allied forces in the West and the USA supplied everyone with millions of tons of weapons from Russia to the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom was inferior when it came to fighting in WW2 and they could have stayed on their island as the USA won the entire war. The Brits wanted to participate rightfully so. You are citing proxy wars such as Korea and Vietnam which were not wars but conflicts and in both cases presidents hampered American efforts to decisively win the conflict. No military on Earth can beat American forces in a battle so if we take the political gloves off God help our enemies. This is coming from an American that grew up overseas on naval bases and I am a veteran of the USAF. I have seen the world's militaries and they aren't capable in force projection let alone surviving a battle against Americans where serving is an honor not a mandate.

  38. Im a former a Crew Chief on C-130s and even I know Bradley's are designed to work alongside tanks or engage on recon. The Bradley protects tanks from infantry so the tanks can do their magic.

This is not an argument when it comes to countries not paying at least 2% of GDP towards their military and then hook up to Russian Gazprom oil to essentially fund the Russian military and then had the audacity to continue to buy Russian oil during an invasion of Ukraine. Germany is the richest country in Europe and have enjoyed American protection for years and have at times worked against American interests. It's time for "NATO" countries to pay their 2% of GDP to military spending to which the majority of them are in violation of.

The list goes on and on with the lack of technological know how and corner cutting in Europe. The Brits are the only country in the world that is even allowed to use some of our top technology. The rest of Europe cannot be trusted especially Germany and France. America has been subsidizing Europeans for decades allowing them to live far beyond their means. That is ending shortly. It's time for them to step up to the plate.

  45.  @juliuszkocinski7478  Nonsense, the Europeans never put the money into their systems and cut corners like autoloaders on tanks, no AESA radar, no stealth, and a serious lack of battle management, logistics, and air refueling technology. To make things worse they take forever in doing any upgrades to existing equipment. Any American veteran such as myself can see this anywhere we meet our "allies". They use stuff that is much older and in many cases simply inferior and I suspect there is a lot of cronyism in Europe with weapon systems when more so then the cronyism of the KC-46, A-10, and F-15EX garbage we have here.
