Shame on those who voted "Nay" to keep Santos! I guess Mike Johnson's Nay vote wasnt enough to persuade enough of his Republican colleagues to keep Santos!
43
Did they not have an opportunity to speak or were they not present when they should have been? "Not having a chance to speak" is actually as Sen. Corden (R) said they weren't present when they should have been.
39
ABSOLUTELY. If they didn't show up for the two debate sessions where they could have spoken, that's on them. Then, the others speaking up realized this could go viral, so, they asked to speak again. Graham said, Some of them want to speak AGAIN, " Well, too bad. You already spoke. These sessions are SCHEDULED and allotted a specific amount of time in order to stay on schedule. Although, it would require actually showing up, they need to speak at the SCHEDULED debate sessions!
33
They already had two scheduled Debate sessions which is where they can speak. Thrones saying they "didn't have the opportunity to speak," also didn't bother to show up at either of the two debate sessions. This is the scheduled voting session.
23
BUT, these Senators DID have the opportunity to speak at the two SCHEDULED Debate Sessions. That is where the "speaking" takes place. BUT, some, like Sen. Blackburn (R-TN), didn't bother to attend either debate session. This is the SCHEDULED Voting session.
15
Hunter? Which district does he represent? I cannot place a "Hunter" in Congress or even as a WH aide...
14
That's absolutely what happened! They did Not show up when they were supposed to show up
14
@Wendy2448 The ones complaining didn't even bother to show up to either of the two debate sessions!
13
@amandablythe6515 ABSOLUTELY. And Send. Blackburn and Corbin didn't bother to attend either of the two Debate sessions where they had the opportunity to speak. Now, at the SCHEDULED Voting session, they're complaining that they "didn't have an opportunity to speak.". They most certainly did have the opportunity. They just didn't bother to use it.
13
BTW, Can you name any of the policies you're referencing with your comment?
13
@ardeladimwit I looked at the roll call for those two debate sessions, and you are absolutely correct. They were NOT present at either session. It's like voting. If you don't bother to go and vote, you lose your right to later complain. You don't bother to show up to the actual debate sessions to speak, you lose your right to speak before the vote. Even Graham says, "We want to tell you AGAIN why these nominees shouldn't be appointed." So, the two are speaking out and who "didn't get a chance to speak" (Corden and Blackburn) weren't even present. Cotton, Kennedy, Graham and the others complaining ALREADY spoke. When they realized this would go viral, others started speaking out.

Tim Scott knows he does not have a chance. He's announcing he wants to be Trump's VP in the ticket. Lol
11
@LisaLee__ What's "unprecedented"? I'm not sure you understand the definition of that word.
9
It's not as though Geraldo is known for his integrity
9
@nfldend501 The difference is that Biden actually had the majority of votes. Still working on your primary school percentages, I see.

I saw a link to the "full video" in the description. However, this committee already had two scheduled Debate sessions, where each is given the opportunity to speak. The two claiming they "didn't have the opportunity to speak," didn't bother to attend either of the debate sessions. Graham even said, "Some of us want to speak AGAIN about these nominees." Kennedy, cotton and Graham did attend at least one of the debate sessions, and each of them DID speak at a session. They just want to repeat what they've already said in an effort to prolong and delay things. I'm sure all 3 realized this could be edited and shown on Fox, where it could easily have the facts distorted and supply more misinformation to its viewers. This is the SCHEDULED vote, but it won't stop them from trying to delay things. They must think their supporters are stupid.
8
@sandrakrys9262 what does your Marine son think about the negotiations between Trump and the Taliban that preceded this?
8
@sandrakrys9262 I think you may feel differently if you knew what Trump agreed to in his negotiations with the Taliban that happened at Camp David without a single official of the actual Afghanistan government present. There's a reason the US didn't withdraw on the timeline promised by Trump.
8
@nonyabusiness557 Yes, because this session is SCHEDULED for the vote. The two SCHEDULED debate sessions for speaking have already taken place. If they didn't bother to show up when they were supposed to speak, that's on them.
7
Although I've never been much of a fan, I have to hand it to Sharpton for keeping his cool, especially given 400 years of oppression behind him.
7
BS
7
@robertplant2059 You don't seem to have a grasp of what's happening
7
@CosplayZine aka "Individual 1"
6
@vforwombat9915 Each govt dept has been required to perform annual audits since 2017, and after 6 years of auditing, the DoD still can't account for 61% of their assets. Where did 61% of that $3.5 trillion go? Oligarchs in Russia have cleaned out much of their military and the DoD has called it corruption. Why would the DoD not call it corruption when it happens in the US?
6
You can speak at the TWO debate sessions , BUT you must actually go to at least one of those in order to do so.
6
@horustrismegistus1017 I'm game -- Let's please do discuss "concepts" in the Constitution. What's up with Trump and his followers claiming his freedom of speech was violated when he was removed from Facebook and Twitter? Tell us how that has anything to do with the freedom of speech as notated in the Bill of Rights?
5
Marjorie Traitor Greene is definitely that.
5
@amonn12 Well, you're partially accurate. You'd be fully correct if the House republicans had not had TWO ENTIRE MONTHS to sort this out already.
4
There were TWO debate sessions for them to speak about and to question the two nominees. BUT in order to speak, Senators MUST actually show up to at least one of the two debate sessions. This is the session to Vote NOT Debate. The two Senators (Blackburn and Corbin) who "didn't have a chance to speak" actually didn't bother to show up at either debate session to speak. The others chiming in, Sens. Cotton, Kennedy and Graham, already had their opportunity to speak and they did speak at a debate session. They don't go around the room again and again. Each Senator gets an opportunity to speak/debate and to question the nominees. They've already done that.
4
@LisaLee__ They've ALREADY spoken -- go look at the two debate sessions and you will see Kennedy, Cotton and Graham already spoke extensively!! The two who "didn't have an opportunity to speak," also didn't bother to show up to either of them.-- Blackburn and Corbin. Go look at the roll call! And, no, I'm not a bot. I'm a hardworking American who has paid taxes and into the system for over 36 years!
4
Just liike Colonel Vindman and Ambassador Yovanovich .
4
@brando_handle You are missing the point. The DoD cannot account for 61% of it's annual budget for each of the last 6 years. They've been required to perform annual audits beginning in 2017 and they haven't managed to even get close to knowing where 50% of its assets
4
@horustrismegistus1017 Actually, it was established yesterday in a court of law by 12 trier of facts. You do understand the definition of "sedition", right? Oh, and it wasn't just the accusers, there have been a few defendants that did plead guilty to partaking in sedition with a seditious conspiracy charge. You do realize that the main difference between a group of people each being charged with seditious conspiracy and a group of people being charged with treason is that seditious conspiracy requires an element of physical force and treason does not.
4
Like Colonel Vindman was retaliated against? Or Marie Yovanovich?
4
rustyiron That', s the GOP for ya!
3
@gregbuster4187 What's that example then of 4 years under Trump???
3
@whicker59 What? Under Trump? Hahahaha
3
What is up with Rep. Paul Gosar's wobbly head behind mtg? Has Gosar been diagnosed with Parkinson's? Seriously asking.
3
@Shane2020xxx You'd think they'd encourage people to screw up their expense reimbursements because at least they could account for some of the missing $3.7 Trillion
3
Brandon has been getting it done!!
3
@LisaLee__ You do realize there were two SCHEDULED Debate sessions prior to this, right? Well, Blackburn and Corbin didn't even bother to attend either. The others who want to speak now -- Cotton, Kennedy and Graham, all spoke in at least one of the debate sessions. This is the SCHEDULED Voting session. They are just trying to prolong and delay things! Shame on them!

@aaron-n Both

There's a link for the full video in the description
3
This video clip was referencing Trump's policy making. Care to name a few of his policies? I'm always up for learning something new :)
3
Although, the million Americans who died due to his severe mismanagement of COVID would probably disagree, if they were able.
3
@slfranklin9044 It's actually trillions --$3.7 Trillion over 6 years and a little more than $500 billion last year. 500 billion of an 858 billion budget cannot be accounted for?? This woman must be the only person in the room not thinking "corruption".
3
@mranton2090 Do you know who arranged the evacuation?
3
@TMercan31 Cannon!
3
@bobbykiefer4306 Well, he sure did provide a lot of his personal opinion imbedded in his question to actually be a journalist. He's a HOST on a cable entertainment channel (more specifically, anger-tainment)
3
@Facetiously.Esoteric I so hope Horus responds. I was looking for a good comedy tonight.
