If you look at the record of who was present, you'll see that Sen.Blackburn (R-TN) and Sen. Corden (R), did NOT bother to even show up for EITHER of the hearings. Sen. Kennedy (LA-R) was present at one of the two hearings AND Sen. Kennedy DID speak and DID question the two nominees. Now, after the others who were NOT present before but are asking to speak, Sen. Kennedy, who never misses a chance to go viral, is chiming in, too. He already spoke for quite a long time in the hearing he attended, but this was likely to go viral, so he's grabbing the viral opportunity. What's the last thing Republicans did for WE, the People? Every time they've cut taxes since Reagan's tax cuts, they ALWAYS cut the wealthiest brackets and leave those of us in the huge middle classes to pay for the cuts to the wealthiest. The reason they keep getting away with this is while cutting the wealthiest's taxes, they pass a resolution to take a lower % of tax out of our paychecks so it APPEARS our tax rate was reduced. BUT, because they take out a lower % from our paychecks but don't reduce our actual tax rate, we end up either owing the IRS at the end of the year or we get a lower refund amount. So, what have the Republicans done for us except take away some of our rights and our freedoms???

They've been required to perform an annual audit for the past 6 years and not once have they come close to knowing where or what even half of their supposed assets are.

  10. The only way we're going to get younger people in the Senate is when younger voters start voting en-masse. In the last election with Senate candidates (2022),voters aged 18-24yo had the lowest rate with only 12% of those registered and eligible to vote. Compare that to those over 65yo with over a 70% voting rate. This is a HUGE reason why we don't have younger Senators!

I don't know why those in right-wing media are afraid to ask a question about trump they already know will have a negative answer without trying to "soften" the reply by loading up on compliments. Two years ago if Barr had been asked the same question, his answer would have been loaded with compliments. It's just a show for Donald Trump. If Trump sees the segment, he will only focus on their compliments just like others who are severely narcissistic. I can't even imagine what it must be like to work for him and to constantly be on-guard when talking to him about anything. That's why his attorneys are always so miserable.

Trump agreed to the Taliban's demands that: The actual President and elected officials of the Afghani government could not be present during the negotiations. The US would see that over 5,000 Taliban and ISIS-K fighters were released from Afghanistan prisons. The US would ensure that the actual leader of the Taliban would be released from the Pakistani prison where he was serving life for terrorism. Trump gave the Taliban legitimacy as Afghanistan's govt on the world stage. Trump was told by his military advisors that with the agreement he made with the Taliban, no pullout would go smoothly. That's why Trump cancelled the withdrawal from the date he agreed with to the Taliban at Camp David. Trump called it a negotiation with the Taliban. This is the first time the US has ever negotiated with terrorists. Although, negotiations is a strong word considering no one knows what Trump negotiated for the US during those talks. If he gets back in office, that's exactly what his "negotiations" will be with Putin. He'll tell Putin to take all of Ukraine and probably half of Poland .

They chimed in when they realized this could be a viral moment they could use to twist the facts to make it appear Durbin isn't allowing any debate. It's no different than the GOP's constant action of "If we can't win an election by following the rules, we'll cheat by changing the rules."

Almost a trillion dollars a year, every year, and the DoD can only confirm where 39% of those dollars were spent?? You'd think that after failing 5 out of 5 audits over 5 years that on the 6th year someone at the DoD would have ordered each area of purchasing to keep a running account of where each dollar was spent and to do a thorough inventory so that the required audit in year 6 wouldn't STILL be missing 61% of those assets. Where is $858 Billion going every year when the DoD can't even tell us where half of its been going since 2017? Again, sounds like corruption somewhere down the line.
