  9. mylifeismine0 Audi A8 - 58,800 Mercedes 66,910 That is base line. The interior hasn't changed much in the last 10 years, except from the buttons but the main design is the same as the A8 I remember from 2004ish. The S Class blows both of these cars away in interior/luxuriousness. The only ways this car win is performance wise and price wise and its suited for someone with a smaller budget. The S Class decently kitted out costs aroud 85,000 and thats a s350.

  12. Wow, it is blatantly that you don't know anything about the S Class! The ambient lighting has 5 brightness settings, as I'm sure this does too. Those screens are similar to what you can find on a Lamborghini, and are a lot better, meaning more functions e.t.c, compared to this.

  13. Reminds me of a Lamborghini? I never mentioned that it reminded me of it, I said that Lamborghini has a similar type of thing which no one says anything against. The thing is, the only people who negative things about the dashboard are people who don't have a S Class, these screens allow for a much better experience, and easier access to features which can't be done on an analogue display.

  14. It's not like it would be cheaper to use an analogue display from the older s class, or the C Class, is it? This display has a lot more features compared to analogue ones, such as displaying night vision, lane assist, how far away you are from the car in front, decide between kmh and mph, parking, and many more features. All of which aren't available in the same detail on an analogue display.

  15. They can make a revised model from the old analogue display. They can copy the A Class/B/C/CLA/CLS/E/G/GL/ML/Viano/SLS/AMG GT or any of their other models. It would cost less to enlargen it to follow the pattern, but to make it unique they made it like this. They don't cost $25 each, you haven't opened up a S Class before so I don't think it is suitable for you to reply. I do work in IT, and after taking it out it is a lot more complex than buying a tablet from China and programming it. No car similar to this has night vision on the dashboard, parking cameras visible, km/h to mph, active lane assist, distance between the car in front and more. Once again, try opening up the dashboard before commenting, calling it a $25 screen. Edit : Everyone has an opinion, but I don't see S Class owners complaining..

  16. If they wanted an analogue display, they COULD HAVE done that if they wanted to, which would have been cheaper. Otherwise, the C Class would have this screen. SMH, you think it costs $25 yet you have no real life experience with it, let alone opening it up and seeing all of what it does/what it is connected to.

  17. No, to make it futuristic which is also seen on Audis, Lamborghini and BMWs, just not this BMW. I don't see your criticizing the i8s display. It's not too expensive to enlarge a design already made on the computer. It is expensive to develop a whole new design without a template. When do you look at it sideways? Spread out? Are you forgetting that one of the screens is the infotainment system, while the other one is the speedometer. There is no problem viewing the speedometer while driving, it appears that you're the only person who has this problem, despite not having a S Class. Once again, you have no knowledge of inside of the S Class, which I have gained in my quest to install multiple features I doubt you would even know how to install.

  18. It's not spread out. I've been driving a 222 S Class for a year in a few days. I know they aren't spread out, I can see them all in one look, which may be seen in the video I uploaded. If you still believe it is $25, I'd give you $25 to get me a screen like that which includes the speedometer, tachometer, night vision, lane assist, distance from the car in front, ability to change radio station, mph to kmh, the rest of the features which are currently on it, and Brabus on it.

Everything connected to it costs more, due to the equipment needed to connect it to the radar, parking cameras, to the actual car so you can measure the speed and more. It's obvious that a) you haven't been inside/drove a S Class b) you don't know IT costs. This is because they aren't too far away, they're the same distance as in my A4, A3, my old 320D, my old S320, the M5 I borrowed e.t.c.

The iPad doesn't tell you how far away from the car in front you are, it doesn't go from km/h to mp/h, it won't assist you with parking, it doesn't show night vision, it isn't a HUD, and it can't me connected to the car, which is what is needed for most of the points above. For the 100th time, you have NO real life experience with this car, so don't make up this BS in your head that you can build the dashboard.

How hard is it to understand that they need to create an OS sort of thing. You might as well say it cost $1000 in total for rnd on a PlayStation.   25. No it's not. Stop +1ing your own comments to make it seem like people agree with you. It's not from the old S Class, everyone except you knows that. Ask any W222 S Class owner who has owned a 221, I've had both and no, they aren't the same. The S Class has had a lot of technological improvements. You failed to make the screen with all the attachments and OS for $100, let alone $25.

  31. kevin musai You didn't read my post.. That was the old S Class. Here are confirmed stats of both the cars in 2014 model. BMW 760LI 0-60 = 4.3 seconds Mercedes S63 (US Model) 0-60 = 3.9 seconds.  The 750li does 0-60 in 5.6  The S550 does 0-60 in 5.5 Does the 7 series even have half the stuff that the Mercedes have for performance in the S Class? The 7 series uses normal tyres and the S Class uses runflats lol. Also, who won the F1 Championship and who left it a few years ago?

  32. kevin musai THAT IS OLD SHAPE. What aren't you understanding? They have got technology now which will destroy the 7 series in all of those. Dynamic Curve Assist, Airmatic Suspension e.t.c. It also has a much better interior especially with exclusive nappa leather compared to Audis best option. Also, when  equipped with the best tracker option which comes from the factory, it is much better compared to Audis.

  38. kevin musai its quality over quantity. Mercedes provides quality but BMW produce quantity which is why's its cheaper. Only good BMWs I think are the m3, m5 and m6 as well as the x6 m.

  47. ***** The C63 S Coupé will be quicker than the C63 S Sedan no doubt, especially with the wider rear tyres. With wider rear tyres, I have no doubt it will be 0.1 to 0.2 faster than the C63 S Sedan/Estate. If my research is correct, there was no power difference in the previous generation M3. If there was this time, I bet it'd be minimal. If they do anymore, I hate to imagine what the car would be like with traction control off. They need to add wider rear tyres or perform a revision to LC.

  48. ***** It will obviously be quicker, the question is how they do it. On the M6/5 they added more HP for CP, but on the previous M3, they lowered it and did something to TCS. If they add HP to the M4 CP, they'll definitely need to adjust the traction systems, I thought the C63 spun tyres on launch. Also, where is the interview where AMG boss said no more 507 e.t.c for C63s?
