Charlie Long I tagged the wrong person.

And RS7/RS6
1
Mercedes has the SLS and AMG GTS lol
1
GT goes against the R8 V8 while the much more powerful GT Black will go against R8 V10.
1
Then ktw will probably be the AMG GT Black vs R8 GT. Did you see how fast the SLS Black was?
1
No, the i8 doesn't compare to the Audi R8, the i8 CSL might.
1
cockshield Only people with insecurities would doubt their purchase.
1
So you can't afford either, is what you're telling me.
1
thoravian No wonder you probably can't afford it, you struggle to understand a quote from BMW's brand, which was what those 25 lines were.
1
Yes, I own a Nex-5N with 18-55 lenses as well as 55-210. Yet again, another BMW fan who struggles to understand things. A BMW fan such as +UzzyFuzzy manages to understand that the quote was from BMWs website, showing what the Dynamic Driving feature is. He has also verified my car through my Mercedes, BMW and Audi forum account, with my Mercedes one showing the process of being the first to retrofit Burmester 3D.
1
keanehgz The Rolls Royce interface is practically a BMW one with different logos. Basically the same as the Audi A4 interface in the Lamborghini Aventador.
1
Sometimes it should be necessary to create different software systems. In the case of BMW and Mini, its alright but I think they should have a different one for RR and BMW.
1
keanehgz I mean the infotainment system, not the rest of the technology. If I have a rolls royce I don't want similar technology to what you can find in a 7 series or similar to a 3 series.
1
keanehgz So that the owners don't feel like they can find the same system in a BMW 3 Series. If they want to use the same system, at least fully reskin it.
1
But you can tell its a BMW system. I've test drove a wraith with a friend. Its fantastic car but only negative thing is around 10% is BMW.
1
keanehgz I agree with the bottom two points but I believe that cars shouldn't have the same parts if they are two brands even if they're owned by the same company. Its just my opinion but I buy a car from a different brand to not be the same as a car from another brand. Not so I can have renamed parts.
1
I understand those parts, I'm talking about simple things such as gear stalks and even infotainment systems. If they're ready getting at least 100% profit on a car I expect them to at least make it hard to differentiate parts between brands.
1
Those are the things what I am talking about. I don't want things from a car made in 2002 by BMW in a 2015 car costing £300,000+.
1
***** The BnO in the SLS isn't the best. Burmester 3D in the S Class, and BnO in BMW/Audi is better but I guess its because people prefer engine noise in the SLS.
1
My Burmester 3D has bass :). Upgraded the rear amplifier to a Rockford Fosgate, have a more powerful Rockford Fosgate if I need it but its too loud so I'm dialing it down. Should get the CSR back on Monday. To think I had a P2D2 subwoofer to fix it.
1
Felipe Machado Most of my BMWS broke down. M5 had SMG Pump failure, 320d had steering lock and 330 had carbon build up.
1
Felipe Machado The 320D and M5 were problems which I have heard of in the past, but I needed a car so I bought it. The 330 was due to a tune, which I had heard of but it was quite rare. I've had more problems with other car brands but I trusted BMW to have less problems. One of the factors were that they were first year models but my new S Class hasn't suffered any problems, nether did my W221. The only problems I have had with Mercedes was the 2006 E55 due to a tune and a 2001 CL500 which after being fixed I absolutely loved. The E60 M5 was a brute while it lasted though. Also, they weren't my only 3 BMWs which I have owned, and when these problems were happening I racked up 1200 miles per week due to living in London, and working in places like Manchester and Rochdale and the journeys between these cities.
1
S63 won against the Continental GT so it will also probably win against the M6.
1
The M235I is against the CLA45, which is faster than the A45.
1
Andy P There's no way you can be flooring it around and get 30mpg. If you really are driving like that your mpg would be around 20, if it is a 35i. In a S350 (3 litre) you barely get 15mpg when kicking it, albeit it's heavier and has less hp.
1
Andy P Neither fuel economy is too different. They both do around 21 city and 30-35 town. Sorry, I thought you had a 35i. 3 litre can have better MPG though lol, the S350 does 51mpg on highway.
1
Andy P I've seen a few blown turbos on 45s due to the high boost it's running so as you probably already know, shouldn't be tuned if you're keeping it for that long. To be honest, the E Class seemed good on paper but when I had a loaner, apart from the interior I'd prefer my B8 A4 dd. The E63 is probably a different matter though.
1
***** As I've told you 4 billion times, you break the law by accelerating to 40mph too quickly, forget about 60mph or 90mph.
1
Replaces all defects? Sorry but it takes weeks, even months for Tesla parts.
1
Club Bmw Amg In what way???
1
I mean the S Coupe looking like a honda accord.
1
Club Bmw Amg It does, just to you and a minority it doesn't.
1
Club Bmw Amg http://image.motortrend.com/f/roadtests/coupes/1412_2015_mercedes_benz_s63_amg_coupe_second_drive/68323771/2015-mercedes-benz-s63-amg-4matic-coupe-front-three-quarter.jpg http://www.forcegt.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/2014-Mercedes-Benz-C-Class-front.jpg The only way it looks similar is the light shape, which is a lot smaller on the S Class. Not sure how you managed to think it was a C Class. You claimed the rear looked like another car, which is not the case unless you're not wearing glasses with a prescription of -4 on both eyes.
1
You are the only one who has that opinion. Is a coupe meant to be longer than the equivalent sedan now?
1
Club Bmw Amg Look at the Rolls Royce Wraith and the Bentley Continental GT before saying that crap on a luxury sedan. I can officially say you've never seen these cars in reality as those views can only be made online, not when you see them in real life.
1
Still shorter than their sedan. You haven't seen or sat in either so I won't blame your opinion.
1
Are you blind?
1
RR = 2x Luxury + 0.5-1x Driver S Class = 1-1.5x Luxury + 0.75-1.5x Driver 7 Series = 0.75-1.25x Luxury + 1-2x Driver 2 being highest and 0 being lowest
1
Samson Okoro I mean in between models. Would you rather drive a Rolls Royce Phantom or a Mercedes S63/S65? For driver dynamics it would be the S63/65. S63 over Ghost. S65 over Phantom.
1
Samson Okoro You can't deny, top luxury for this price is CURRENTLY the S Class. I mean in RR Phantom/Ghost vs Mercedes S63/65 I would much rather prefer to drive the Mercedes as the RR is much longer. If I was lying in the back its phantom over S65.
1
This new 7 series is changing that. Its for luxury aspects but it is turning into a drivers car.
1
I don't understand what you're saying. The S Class has always been seen as the more executive, and luxurious car in the eyes of chauffeur's and reviewers who use opinions of people who own the car. The 7 Series has pretty much been the drivers vehicle while the s class was the passengers.
1
Yusif Aliyev We're talking about full ambient lighting that can change color and brightness, not an orange led strip.
1
Samson Okoro The S Class had it since 2006, I had it on my 56 plate. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w221-s-class/1312404-ambient-lighting-mounting.html If you wish to talk about the other ambient lighting, such as what Yusif was talking about, the generation before the 221 had it : http://forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=90091
1
jamviator The S Class didn't have colour changing lights before 2002, neither did BMW. The W220 had "ambient lighting", if you want the one which didn't change colour. They've already overtaken BMW in the large luxury sedan sector. Overtaken? BMW never were the leaders of the large luxury sedan sector. The S Class is and always has been the leader of its segment. Samson Okoro I never said that every top of the line car doesn't have it. Jamviator said the BMW had it first, which they didn't. Also not sure how the jaguar was the "template" for the S Class? It's pretty much the same as the 221. Mercedes doesn't have lighting inside the air vents. The only differences from the 221 is that it's around the screen and the floor. http://www.germancarforum.com/attachments/gtspirit-mercedes-s500-0034-jpg.19464/ http://www.mercedes-benz.com.lk/content/media_library/hq/hq_mpc_reference_site/passenger_cars_ng/new_cars/models/s-class/_w221/facts/04_2011/comfort/interior/s-class_wv221_facts_comfort_interior_715x230_04-2011_jpg.object-Single-MEDIA.tmp/s-class_wv221_facts_comfort_interior_715x230_04-2011.jpg
1
Can you send me a picture as the only picture of the interior lighting system that I can find is this : http://i.ytimg.com/vi/zEkoxPcha_s/maxresdefault.jpg I can tell you right now that the S Class has in no way copied the ambient lighting from that picture.
1
jamviator I was talking about ambient lighting, being the one which could change colour and brightness as seen in cars today. It appears the W221 S Class beat the 7 Series to that. If you just wish to have a light in a colour, the S Class had that before 2002, I've posted a thread for a 2001 S Class, as I don't have the time to search for a previous date, which has the same feature showing that Mercedes had it before. It was available starting from 1998 on Mercedes S Class W220. Nearly every brand has copied another brand in one way or another. If that wasn't the case, most cars wouldn't have speaker systems, infotainment systems, turbos, leds or most other things you find inside your car on a daily basis.
1
I said it like 20 comments ago lol. Mercedes has some unique features that I love, but so does the next 7 series.
1
Already been beaten by Top Gear Polaska
1
The S Coupe won against the Bentley but the Rolls Royce costs tons more.
