It drives wonderfully, you barely feel the road and with all of the available features on it, none of its competitors can match its level of luxury. Sure, this car isn't that good performance wise but that's not what this car is for. This car if pure luxury.

  9. disgraceland uk OK, so you are admitted that your opinion is based on a video. Why don't you go to the showroom and go on a test drive of either car. Wait, you are a Porsche fan so of course you will pick the Porsche, even after testing both. Your "opinion" of the car is based on two items which can be changed/removed.  YOU are the on who is embarrassing yourself, the Porsche is a sports car, not a luxury car.

  12. ***** That is exactly what I think about most of these new performance cars like the M3/M4/C63. I would prefer a C63 Stage 3 like the ones at MSL Performance or a V8 M3. Anyway, I have to say, the new 7 series concept looked like it would actually be decent but spy shots just show a 7 series with not much difference from the current one, and an interior from a stretched 3 series.

  13. It won't be much different from what the current spy shots look like if its coming out in a few months. You have to admit, that right now the S Class looks a lot better and it probably will be. The 7 series is nice but the S Class would be my pick from that market. Personally, I would want a m4 convertible if I was in that market until a c63 convertible comes out in a few years time since the m4 is actually a nice car. The engine ruins it though.

  16. +Kushi son S Class is still better than anything BMW have produces. The BMW i8 is also beaten by a Tesla so yeah lol.

  17. Kushi son The S Class is much better than every BMW produced, also the Tesla beats the i8 in a race while the i8 may win around the track. If you wanted a car to beat both you might as well get a GTR lol. I have to agree though, the i8s interior is good looking, my opinion before anyone else argues.

  19. Mr Kruger E63 beat M4 and M3. Why do you think that Mercedes are Taxis? Since they are more luxurious and more refined. One thing I have to agree is that the new GLE is ugly, but the 63 engine sounds good. Also, the S Class outsold the 7 Series and is much better than the 7 Series in every aspect except price.

  20. Kushi son What are you talking about? The i8 didn't get car of the year. The M4 got car of the year for coupes and the S Class got car of the year for luxuriousness. Also, is all that matters in this world speed? Speed is what kills people. If you still want to talk about speed just go get the Tesla P85D. That will beat most of your cars. Also, the review that the i8 got picked for has luxury of the year, S Coupe, Family Car of the Year, C Class Estate,  Sports Car of the Year, Mercedes AMG GT. No other mention of BMW there.

  29. Mr Kruger I never said the AMG is faster, I said the gap would be smaller. Also 0-60 in 3.2 seconds vs 0-60 in 3.9. I think there is a clear winner. Does a car need to be powered by petrol to be faster? Tesla proved otherwise.

  37. Mr Kruger I'm talking about the one which they are making now. Also the s class looks nothing like a c on the exterior except the smaller version of the lights. Look at the new 7 series interior. The 3 series looks nice on the outside, not so sure about the inside.

  47. ***** The Car of the Year wasn't given to either brands. The nominees however were the BMW i3 and the Mercedes S Class. There were other Mercedes and BMWs involved in the Car of The Year, by Motortrend who practically made Car of the Year, but the finalist were the S Class and the i3 and I would rather have the S Class than an i3.

  50. ***** Did Top Gear even make Car of the Year? Which tests were performed except driving it around for a few days or maybe even a few hours? The original Car of the Year by Motortrend has strict guidelines to Car of the Year while most of them are just selected such as this one. Sure the interior is quite nice but that is just about it. If I wanted speed, technology, range e.t.c the Tesla would be a much better choice...
