What fuji did with the fuji was brilliant. Re-purposing their base product for other markets. I always wondered about fujitsu corporation. We used their scanners for our document scanning in elections registration forms. I used to be a elections programmers designing software for elections processing. Best scanners i ever used. Strong and high quality components. Their maintenance kits were excellent. Guyana Elections Commission.

I find it interesting that today the world focus on the slavery of the europeans. No one seems to focus on the pre-colonial slavery by the very people that are slaves. In india there was great slavery of other peoples (ramayan and mahabharata wars). Indians in india are proud of the ancestors committed by their for-fathers. Very deep history. I find it hypocritical of non-europeans claiming injustice when their ancestors committed worse atrocities. The reality is that throughout history there were great ancestors committed by many civilizations. No one should be blaming nayone because everyone has a history of injustice. Its time people wake up and own up to their own hypocritical beliefs.

What ever happened to wang computer corporation. I remember my school having one. The ones with those little monitors and large system unit.
8
@Kara_Pabuc I know that. I was just thinking about fujitsu. Similar names.
7
Interesting video. Now they are pushing marijuana. Same nonsense.
7
I find your video to be biased in favor microsoft. You failed to mention how linux and other operating systems made their mark on the 90s. You should have covered the operating systems by decades. Maybe do a multupart video series on operating system. This is a very big topic and too many operating systems to cover. I give this video a c-.

If japan has turn ed to linux in the early 90s then they might have have a good foothold today. Linux is now the great equalizer. Microsoft is going to the dogs. Never go back to microsoft.
6
I find it interesting that most capitalist countries moved off the gold standard towards fiat currency. They build their value on debt. There is a limit to debt. I find it ironic that the very russia is backing their currency by gold which has actual value. Backing a currency by gold has always made a nation strong. Lets see how all of this plays out.

I had a compaq 386 dx computer. It was really sturdy. I also had a ncr 286 computer. It had a high qualit svga monitor. Nice for games. My dad bought it in canada in the early 90s. I loved that machine.
5
@PhenomRom I do not live in the usa. I live in guyana.
5
The chinese do not have the latest lithography machines. They will always be behind.

As a Linux user I despise Nvidia because if their proprietary driver nonsense. If they were truly able to maintain development then they would have released their specific driver specifications. AMD ATI works extremely well with Linux. If Linux be ones mainstream then Nvidia is dead. I don't care how powerful their chips are. The customer is number 1. What are your thoughts on risc soc in the future. I find it hallarious that India is boasting that they will over take the world in chip making. They believe they can leap frog tsmc in years of development. I still think Brazil could be the new home of tsmc. They have most of the infrastructure. Talent is relative. They can be relocated. India is too corrupt to deal with.

I wonder who will be the next ship builder with 3d printed ships just like 3d printed rockets. I am not talking about pieces. I am talking about printing a complete ship in one piece. That is a extremely costly undertaking and whoever achieves this will have an edge for years to come.
4
When will you cover guyana?
4
here is q question. Did the original owners get back their companies after nationalization or new owners took it over?
4
Since you are on the topic. What do you think about guyana's natrual gas situation? The gas to shore project. 🤔 Would be nice if you can do a video on Guyana oil boom.
4
@abi3751 There is a reason I asked those questions. I am hoping that he will do a dedicated video son these questions. India will never catch up with a domestic company because they tried that in the past. The need the euv machines and they will not get it because india is second to china in human right violations. They also have a terrorist group hindutva (known to be bjp supported) which persecuted christians, muslims and other minority groups. They also suffer from pack of infrastructure, bad work ethic and the list goes on. There is a good reason india never managed to achieve this. Why did tsmc overlook india and built a fab in arazona? The reasons I mentioned above and more.

The funny thing is linux is killing microsoft after all the nasty tactics they use to stop linux. LOL!!!!
3
budha never ascended. his hand is in sri lankha. LOL!!!! Only Lord Jesus ascended into heaven because he is GOD Almighty.

I find 60s and 70s being the golden age of database experimentation. They made all the mistake and eventually everything got standardized with the sql92 standard. Today databases have become a mutation of various meta code and binary integrations. Just imagine what future databases would look like. Nice video on the topic.
3
@belstar1128 That might be so but at least they had something they could have worked on and used. If the japenese had contributed back then then linux might have had spread faster. Linux depends on contributors. Window was not perfect either. I cam from the days of dos and windows 3.1. I know what I am talking about.
3
I am actually using fiber for internet. 200 Mbps for about US$65 per month.
3
I wonder if this is a warm up for guyana. 🤔
3
Also what about the old age pensions and benefits the governments are supposed to provide for the elderly. Are the government trying to dodge their responsibilities? If the governments cannot provide for their citizens in such cases then why is there a need for a government?
3
Here is a question. Can india's tata catch up like what samsung did? Does indis have what it takes to do this? Why has anyone look at brazil as a chap maker?
3
@abi3751 Brazil is not perfect but many of those issues india have does not exist in brazil. Also brazil is relatively peaceful for over 200 years. I can say tsmc chose use because of the already established infrastructure and manpower. Its the reallity. I think asianometry would agree. I also would like to point out that the americans will not allow an external semiconductor company unless they can control them. This is why china has a hard time getting the euv machines.
3
This video is very telling about the state of mankind. 2 Timothy 3:7 (KJV) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. You talk so much about nationalist pride. Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
3
I have a friend in belgium. Have not talked to him in years. It is nice to see technology progress but everyone is overlooking one thing. It takes just want worldwide cme or emp from WW3 to wipe out all chip making capacity. The question is what will you do if and when that happen. Just food for thought. Maybe you can do a video on this topic since ww3 is in the air.
2
@nicholasmaude6906 Yea. Those were the days.
2
@trevinbeattie4888 you seem to miss the point. he did not mention linux in this video giving priority to windows. This video should have been a series on decades (80s, 90s etc) of the operating systems. Other operating systems played an important part of this history. The video sis biased.
2
Makes me think of fujitsu fi-5750 scanners. High quality stuff.
2
Have you ever considered doing a video on the intel AMT/ME backdoor and its security implications. You talked about security and this came to mind.
2
Hard drives are still in demand. SSD's are inferior because they can be easily damaged and are less reliable. I will always prefer a HDD.
2
Brazil could have become what tsmc but because they are a catholic country they lost the opportunity. The reason america dominated the computer industry is because they are protestants and the Lord blessed them. Sadly they have moved away from GOD and now they are losing their way. Their loss will be my gain.
2
I find it hilarious and hypocritical when the communist/socialist used the term "thirty pieces of silver" when they hate Lord Jesus and his word. Welcome to clown land.
2
They say chinese are smart but it seems the americans outsmarted them. LOL!!!!
2
@Houthiandtheblowfish funny thing is alot of wealthy people from north america moving here.
2
It is hilarious that evolutionists want to store data into something was an accident. Apparently this accident is so well designed that it can store data. 😂
2
@kajurn791 it's Lula that desteoyed Brazil. He over leveraged Brazil's finances. He is a big crook. The had to close down in order to save money from Lula's mismanagement of the finances. Need to be investigated. Brazil could pull it off. They have the resources and relative stable.countey. peaceful. Smart investors would see that.
2
I am hearing that global foundaries has made the world fastest ai chip with a new type of design.
2
@floycewhite6991 Are you high?
2
@nordboya1656 First of all c is not a low level language. It is broken down to its assembly language components. There are assembly language tools to debug and maintain assembly language. It is not about being impossible. It is about you being able to read and understand assembly language. The reason c can be ported is because it is a high level language. It is not impossible to rewrite linux in assembly language. All I hear are excuses. Kolibrios proved it is possible to build a entire operating system in assembly language. The problem is we have too many lazy high level programmers and they use the excuse of being hard to maintain. Machine generated code (automated systems) are not the same as AI. Machine generated systems are designed algorithms that follow a set out procedure. AI is code that alters itself and make the necessary changes it needs. Please learn assembly language then we can talk.

This is the reason I do not share ideas. The asians have a bad habbit of stealing from the west. Without the wet and the taxpayers dollars doing the research there will be no east. Its ironic that the western nations are blessed because they are christian's. Used to be and not they lost everything because they turned form GOD (Lord Jesus).
2
if you have a natrual energy source like natrual gas, hydro power or geothermal then desalination is viable. I think dumping the slurry into a pond inland and let the sun dehydrate the water will leave minerals that could be recycled.
2
I am amazed at the stupidity of the semi conductor makers. If multlayer semiconductors create heat then all they need to do is implement nano thermoelectric modules in the layers since it is also a semiconductor. I can see the minds of hindus idiots been blown with such wisdom. Semiconductors are old tech. Light processors are the way. GOD (Lord Jesus) emits light beyond out existing spectrum. Just wait until he returns. There will be no more engineers in the millennium kingdom to come. Only GOD like beings called christian. What you are fighting now yo make with our hands is weak and will fail eventually. Out bodies will become instruments of eternal power that never fails. Choose widely now. Read the book of revelation (king james version).

@shikharraje First of all I never said linux was supposed to be easy to use for the end user. I comment had nothing to do with being a friendly os. Not sure which planet you are on. Read my previous comments. You seem to forget the purpose of why linux was created. Even though it started as a side project linus needed something he could afford (free). Nothing starts out to be for the ordinary users. The first operating systems did not start out that way. They were intended for businesses and government. People still used them since that was the best at the time. Windows was not developed for the ordinary user initally. Look at the first windows like 1.0 and 2.0. They were targeted towards the businesses. Its onnly later down that microsoft targeted home users because of the micro computer being more in reach of the ordinary home users. It had nothing to do with user experience. It was driven by need and feedback from the ordinary users. So your argument of linux was never inteded to be a friendly os is irrevelant. Now back to my original comment. The video is biased because it does not do judstice to the other operating systems like linux, next, beos etc. You can goto winworld and see the number of operating systems form that time that should have at least a mention. The video is biased.
1
you could use biogas as a source of methane. renewable.
1
I wonder which would survive an emp. HDD or solidstate?
1
@kenoliver8913 solidstate is a chip. It will burn out instantly. Totally useless.
1
So what about guyana's new lng project.
