  7.  @arby977  FYI - I got a 1999 Corolla with 152K miles on it for a grand. Perfect engine and transmission. Put $1800 in it for front wheel bearings and 1 linkage. Have had it 2 years now for a second car. White paint but it looks very good. Now it has 180K miles on it - well worth the money.
