China initially lied about the existence of the virus whilst continuing to let their people fly out of their country into other countries spreading the virus, and then lied about the severity of the virus and jailed any journalists that wanted to talk about it. Also arresting people for their conspiracy theories and protests, which are a legal right, is authoritarian and evil, regardless of the truth. Massive overreaction to a 99.7% survival rate virus. Also another massive miss near the end. Social media companies aren't meant to tamper with any information. False or not. Free speech is free speech, no matter how dangerous. If someone falls for a blatant lie on the internet, that is merely natural selection in action. We can't baby everybodies opinions to the truth.
