  1.  @revimfadli4666  I think one of the main issues is cost. MAGLEVs are already extremely expensive. And what a hyperloop is, essentially, is a MAGLEV track with a vacuum tube around it. Much more costly and risky, and for what? 200mph extra? Nope. Because remember, it's never going to be a perfect vacuum, and air will still pool up in front of the pod, removing all benefits of the vacuum. That's why you need a big turbine in front of the pod.

  33. To be fair, with the right materials it's not impossible to take a MAGLEV train and put it in a vacuum, removing both friction dn air resistance. It's a clever idea and progress will allow it to happen soon I think .
