@tacituskilgore80 I disagreed with you. Ukraine had been lied to about membership into EU and NATO with a ton of free money. Not only had NATO/EU failed to destroy Russia economy with their economic sanctions onslaught, their economies been hurted by Russia counter-sanctions backlash. Russia would not remain isolated from the world after the war, since its a member of BRICS, OPEC+, CIS and is friendly with African Union, ASEAN and Latin/South America. Its Ukraine which would lose in the long term.
6
You heard that Zelensky ? Now get out of Ukraine to beg for more money ! Over.....
5
How to send Ukraine more anti-air missiles when your taxes are used to repay USA debts ?
5
I believed its an act of terrorism by USA/Ukraine to blow up the dam from the inside, as it would deprive water to Crimea and to Russian held nuclear power plant. Why not Russia ? You would ask. Because if Russia wanted to flood Kherson region, it just needed to open the dam flood gates, no need to blow it up. Also, long time no news from the wonder weapon of M777 in Ukraine. What happens ? All destroy ?
5
10/10/23 ( Tuesday ) 4.36 pm. Given the "friend turned enemy" status of Ukraine and Poland. Perhaps some Polish HIMARS might divert to Ukraine border. Just in case Ukraine S300 missile somehow make another U-turn to bomb Poland like in 2022, Poland might return 10 times the "favour".
5
I thought Poland had already been steamrolled twice for the past 200 years ?
5
The expensive fuel would come from the US and Middle East.
4
To trap the Ukrainians in Kursk while the Russians attack the eastern frontline.
4
Putin would make sure a clause stating non-NATO membership for Ukraine be included during the peace negotiations.
3
Zelensky and Putin had peace negotiations with Turkey as mediator in 2022, but was disrupted by USA. Without USA approval, there is no peace, only war. USA would fight Russia till the last abled Ukrainian.
3
Or perhaps Poland realized that NATO and USA might not send formal, professional soldiers to fight alongside with it when the time comes. As Poland witnessed USA and UK dishonoured their "rock solid" guarantee security agreements signed with Ukraine.
3
9/11 conspiracy ? So long ago. After Crimea bridge bombing and Germany gas pipelines bombing, of course its an inside screwjob by USA/Ukraine.
3
@prpr8904 He said the "promises" of politicians, not their age.
3
May not be since Russia only wanted the pro-Russian territories, which it already largely controlled.
3
Russian military might be a laughing stock of Europe, but no European country dared to officially engaged the Russian military in Ukraine in support of Zelensky. Not even a No Fly Zone over Ukraine. Europe laughed at Russia. Likewise, Russia laughed at Europe. NATO military had been exaggerated.
3
By your logic, the dam was not destroyed by Russia. Russia just needed to open the dam flood gates to flood Kherson, no need to blow it up.
3
Just like USA.
2
You're mistaken. Russia didn't push NATO to its border, NATO make its grand expansion to absorb former Warsaw Pact members during the failed Democratic Russia under Gorbachev and Yeltsin. You did not see great things for Russia in the coming years ? Once the Arctic sea ice dissolve substantially, the long coastal sea line of Russia would be a busy sea lane between Europe and North East Asia.
2
Same with USA.
2
@ZoragRingael The people died were civilians, not soldiers. Russia could have waited till Ukraine launched their counter offensive from Kherson before opening the flood gates, or blew up the dam. Its illogical to do so prematurely. Thus, a higher probability that its an act of terrorism from USA/Ukraine.
2
@newwonderer Had you ever thought that Russia just needed to open the flood gates, to flood Ukraine soldiers in the midst of attacking from Kherson ? No need to blow the dam to flood civilians.
2
@chrissmith7669 This time, USA would have problems running up debts in the name of fighting for freedom, since many rich countries refused to lend money to it and are selling its I.O.U.
2
Ukrainian woman soldiers have also moved to the frontline from the back.
2
@maryanchabursky9148 Not so. Minors and elders have already engaged in the war. Thus the "average" age of 40+.
2
@ZoragRingael Since Russia controlled the dam, why destroyed it ? It just needed to open the dam flood gates to flood Kherson. Thus, most likely its an act of terrorism from USA/Ukraine.
2
Also remember how stupid they were, for fighting a proxy war on behalf of USA against Russia.
2
@TheFrenchBaguettes For the right of self rule ? You were saying like the whole of Ukraine is under Russia occupation which is not. Your reasoning is not valid.
2
@rimanahbvee When the Ukrainians elected a president that is too pro-USA, listened to its instigation and provoked Russia into invasion. Sure, proxy war.
2
@Stiweniasty I should ask you which parellel universe are you living. It was once over the news last year that the "bombardment" resulted in Polish deaths. Biden had to cut short of his meeting in Indonesia.
2
13/2/24 ( Tuesday ) 5.16 pm. Incorrect title. It should be " Could Zelensky launch another grand counter-offensive in 2024 ?"
2
@trygveblacktiger597 You're mistaken to think NATO is a defensive alliance after it bombed Serbia intensively for 78 days until it surrendered. A Chinese embassy was also been bombed, killing 2 or 3 staffs. NATO is an offensive organisation after it set up No Fly Zone over Libya and bombed Tripoli. Libya had never attacked NATO to deserve this treatment. If you noticed international news, you would have known that Russia didn't use its full force against Ukraine. During 2022/3, Russia still conduct military exercises with Iran, South Africa, Belarus and China. It even launched a rocket to the moon that ended in failure. With its 1 million regulars still remain intact, NATO victorious conventional war against Russia is not guaranteed. Thus it dared not save the Ukrainians from the Russians.
2
@trygveblacktiger597 For your essay, NATO had no courage to save Ukraine from Russia. That said a lot about their own conventional military capabilities.
2
Perhaps you forgot that Russians had 10 years of horrible experiences with Democracy, during Gorbachev and Yeltsin era which the collective West ignored Russians plight. Democracy failed Russia.
2
I had different opinion than yours. Though Russia lost a lot more men and military than USA. It had actual control over the 4 regions and Crimea, while USA fled from Vietnam and especially, Afghanistan. So shameful. Economically, the collective West failed to destroy Russia economy. Although I don't believe Russia economy is currently No. 1 in Europe, I still think that its still World's No. 11.
2
@lancehamlett3054 You didn't need to whitewash USA military failure in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Fleeing is fleeing. There were many TV shots/news about their defeats to be seen around the world, especially Afghanistan. From US military abandoning its biggest base without its allies knowing about it, to relying on Taliban terrorists to maintain law and order in Kabul ( how ironic ), while US soldiers flew off in their planes with Afghans dropping from the sky. USA invaded Taliban Afghanistan in the name of freedom, democracy, human rights and justice after 911. Its allies trusted USA and also stationed troops for the occupation. In the end, its allies were betrayed by USA. The Afghans were abandoned back to their Taliban overlords. Russia was a free country in the 1990's after Gorbachev abandoned Communism and adopted Democracy. But the collective West ignored the plea for help from the newly democratic Russia. In the end, the rise of Tzar Putin with Russians who experienced the 1990's chaos and hardships, no longer trusted democracy.
2
@fakecubed Regarding about Global Hawks, I was replying to the original comment implying that although USA technology is superior to Russia ( not far superior ), its planes could still be shot down by 3rd world country. Also, Patriot A/A might intercept hypersonic missile but it had been shown that its battery unit been blew up Russia hypersonic missile. USA should not be too over confident in their weapon systems.
2
As you said, 60 years ago.........
2
I doubt Ukraine would lose the war if it runs out of AA missiles but USA would not be able to fund Ukraine as it is facing bankruptcy in June or July 2023.
1
@enricogattone432 The 31.5 trillion of debts are not GOP generated debts and it must be repaid, at least the interest. Unlike in 2008, China would not lend money to USA since it designated China as its arch-enemy. Also, many countries are selling USA I.O.U. making USA difficult to borrow money from international markets. It makes Yellen very nervous and panicky. Four banks had already collapsed in three months, making USA not 100% solvent, at least to international investors. Aid to Ukraine would be affected as it involved present money for future spending.
1
For your essay, I still remembered a Ukraine's S300 missile somehow made a U-turn to bomb Poland in 2022.
1
You are not right. The video assumed rightly that Russia will continue to have an inflow of weapons, domestically or oversea. A working economy, working refineries etc.
1
You stole the lines from US war merchants.
1
I agreed with you. If Russia wanted to flood Kherson, just open the dam flood gates.
1
@ZoragRingael To flood the attacking Ukrainian soldiers from Kherson, I don't think most of the rest of the world would blame Russia for that. Russia could accuse Ukraine if it would to attack the dam before or after the offensive. So, no need to blow it up prematurely. Thus, a higher probability is combined USA/Ukraine act of terrorism.
1
Not so, the credits belonged to Kamala, vice-president of USA for successfully instigated Zelensky to cross Putin's red line. The rest was history.
1
Don't underestimate Russia and China, especially China. Their Beidou positional system is better than GPS, their Tiangong space station would be the only one in space after 2031, their 5G tech is currently the leader. Like USA, China had also reached the moon and Mars.
1
USA has also reminded the world, it needs to borrow crap money from China to avoid bankruptcy.
1
Russia still spending "rainy day" fund.
1
You're too pessimistic. Though Russia would still be weakened after it won the war, it would not go broke after Biden failed to turn Rubles into waste paper. Nor would it be isolated as Russia is a member of BRICS+, CIS, OPEC+ and are friendly with African Union, ASEAN and Latin/South America.
1
LOL. I never realised that.
