Zelensky dresses for the job he wants, not the job he has.

Neither Russia nor the USA really want to take sides between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Azerbaijan is a major oil and gas exporter, and nobody wants to be on bad terms with this country. Armenia gets sympathies and support due to its history with the Turks. None of Armenia's neighbors want Armenia to join NATO, because that may involve them in potential future military conflicts. So everyone will likely tread carefully, encouraging both countries to resolve their disputes by negotiation.

Also thank Gates. Have you seen his stomach lately? First male pregnancy.

No uranium in Kiev.

Recently, Fico joined Orban in their small club.

@stdavidboy This did cross my mind. But is the benefit, in the eyes of the CIA, worth going through that much trouble? Quite likely the Russians will make their own investigation, especially if an autopsy reveals something suspicious.
8
@lazyupload If that is true, wouldn't it be better for Russia and Putin to just shut down Navalny's communication with anyone outside the prison? They would have known about all the outcry and accusations that would follow if they were to kill Navalny. Why not take the easier solution if they were supposedly really bothered by Navalny's speech?

So (at 29:50) Ukraine has an official named Samovar. Now that is quite odd because a Samovar in Russian and Ukrainian is a large ornate ("sculpted") heated teapot from which tea is dispensed into cups. Translated literally, Samovar means "self-brewing." One might expect so named individuals to occasionally perform the children's dance and song of 🎶 "I am a little teapot short and stout, here is my handle and here is my spout, if you tip me over..."

@eccentricaste3232 He must have been a good one if they gave him four stars for it.

Even if Ukraine promised to not join NATO or rearm, Russia cannot rely on that for as long as the Kiev government is controlled by or linked to the West. So this will be an obstacle to any type of Korean style truce.

The only one who can is that Black man named Denarius, who participates in comedy skits with Alex Stein (of AOC Big Booty Latina fame).
7
They should have cited each other as the 2nd anonymous source.
7
Right. As the Europeans drive across the border into Ukraine, there will be Blinken and McConnell and others on both sides of the road shouting: "Sunak Sunak he is our man, if he can't do it no one can."
7
The good news is Netherlands won't be able to use the tanks against their farmers.
7
The Russian military has recruited comedians to fill gaps left by dolphins who are bound to aquatic environments.
7
It sounds as if those FAB bombs are fabulous.
7
Mark Rutte's claim that Belarus is fully under Russian control shows why he is such a brilliant legendary statesman.
7
Russia doesn't have to reverse Ukraine's accession to NATO (since Blinken said it's irreversible). Russia only needs to prevent Ukraine from reaching that goal. Why reverse it if that's not necessary.
7
Llloyd Austin: This is a time to dig deeper into your pockets...
7
If Zelensky can't be Churchill, he will settle for being King Leonidas. No Helen of Troy this time around.
7
Kaja Kallas, "high representative, had high hopes..."
7
We can be sure that Russia will take an extremely confrontational position against the presence in the Black Sea of militaries from countries that are not local.
7
If you leave Kiev and take one step toward Mariupol, you too have made progress toward that city.
7
The New York Times has been publishing satire for years now, and this latest article is meant as sarcasm. The New York Times is a newspaper recording a humorous take on current affairs.
7
Trudeau can get one of Zelensky's green track suits. He'll be the life of the party at his cottage.
7
I am a fan of stand-up comedians. But I will enjoy real-life comedy. And am serious.
7
"Ukraine's counter-offensive moves faster than new sanctions," or at least faster than a fly swimming in molases.
7
If Ukraine sinks Russian ships, I would expect that Odessa will be dilapidated.
7
If Zelensky is blackmailing the US with something, like some information he could make public or threat of some action, he could end end up having a personal problem with his own army.
7
So training of Ukrainian pilots on F16s turned out to be a failure due to the language barrier. Apparently it never occurred to anyone to translate the user manual into Ukrainian.
6
She will give US "the silent treatment."
6
Frankly, Orbán should demand 💶 50 billion. He should tell Brussels "show your commitment to Ukraine."
6
Latvia is behaving as if Russia is the USSR, and it is not alone in that misapprehension.
6
Richard? I thought it was Johnson.
6
That cat maintained strategic ambiguity.
6
Georgescu could run as an independent, if Romania has such a mechanism.
6
"Ukraine's hopes for victory over Russia are slipping away," The Washington Post says. Simon and Garfunkel said it best with their song... 🎶 _Slip slidin' away Slip slidin' away You know the nearer your destination The more you're slip slidin' away._ If The WP means the possibility of victory, then no, it's not slipping away since it never existed. If, on the other hand, The WP means hope and prayer of winning, that might be slipping but it's a tad too late to face up to reality.

He showers wearing his outfit, so it does get washed.
6
NATO would only want Peacekeepers if they are from pro-NATO organizations, like the UN. Russia should propose Chinese Peacekeepers, and watch the West pretend they never said anything. After all, China isn't involved in this conflict, so they should be pretty neutral.
6
I am at a complete loss trying to understand in what sense Hungary is not democratic. They have a democratically elected government. What the EU is saying is that disagreement with EU on immigration and Russia makes Hungary not democratic. That just doesn't make any sense!
6
Sadly, I agree with you. Maybe being good at tech doesn't spill over into other everything else.
6
Both are totally DEI hires. They can only get decent jobs in government. If they had to work at a for-profit organization, Annalena would be a receptionist, and Lammy would work the night shift as a security guard. Annalena would be rude to customers, and Lammy would sleep through his entire shift.
6
Wouldn't there have to be something to apologize for in order to be a "Putin apologist"? (Taking the phrase literally.)
6
Actually, Zelensky's biggest secret is the underwear he wears, that he bought from Victoria's Secret.
6
Stubb is an unfortunate name in the English speaking world. It lends itself to too many jokes
6
The USA government controls a lot of NGOs (presumed to be non-governmental). But 26 is excessive, and most likely there are many others.
6
Nor should empty suits.
6
Agreed. It's best to manufacture those Swedish CV90s in Ukraine. If they are made in Sweden and then shipped to Ukraine, Russians will have to destroy them one by one rather than all at once.
6
After Northern Gaza is flattened, maybe BlackRock can come in with bulldozers and construction equipment and rebuild the place.

Running for your life is a kind of tactical retreat.
