Anonymous Sources should form a union and demand better wages and working conditions.

Can you imagine the demand for tickets on board the trans-Americas train ride. Going from Alaska to the southern tip of Chile would be amazing. The demand would exceed availability for a century. The tour company could offer side trips, where on could get off to see Yellowstone, and the reboard another train. I figure 10 separate trains could share a single track, and bypass each other at designated rail spurs.

@schrodingerscat1863 Easing people into poverty, but gently.

That image of a fighter jet next to praying hands could be symbolic for Ukraine's hope for success "on a wing and a prayer."

There is another feature that is not authentic on the captured hardware from the West. On the battlefield those machines would have been smoking and on fire, and soldiers would be jumping away from them.

This is the only place I have heard the word "rump" being used, and repeatedly at that. So Ukraine is going to be the back end of a four-legged mammal. I wonder how Ukrainians feel about being called a horse's ass.
4
Zelensky meant that as a joke.

It is astounding that a person who was given a job with serious responsibilities can believe that UK cutting energy by 15% will defeat Russia. And if he doesn’t believe that but just says so, then he believes one or more of the following: that people are gullible and stupid, that people will comply for whatever reason, that he needs to say something like that to hopefully alleviate the coming energy shortages and blackouts, that it's a good political move for himself and his Party. Or he was told to say that by his superiors.

Houthis aren't ever going to Russia or Ukraine because it's too cold up there. Besides, they don't even have the jackets for it, and sandals are their military's standard gear.

I think I know why Western world leaders want to hug Zelensky. They treat him like the skipper treated Gilligan on Gilligan's Island. With that "come here little buddy, I can't stay mad at you" attitude. It's a patronizing and slightly condescending way to treat someone who is naive but otherwise a nice guy. They are empowered to feel that way because most of them are just as corrupt as Zelensky, and they don't think there is anything wrong with that.

It was Free Willie.

If they were fuzzy pictures, they might have been of Bigfoot or Sasquatch, or whatever those are called in Russia.
4
This is true.

What's wrong with using depleted uranium? Its half-life is only 600 million years.

Cyprus is not Greece.

@andersonarmstrong2650 So it was a failed promotional campaign. Poor marketing.
4
Yup. That's utmost on the Ukrainians' mind - we must preserve the European Order. That is more important than life, family, and country. We are willing to die for European Order. In fact, we are willing to sacrifice the planet for European Order.
4
@Olivier_The_Dilettante Ukraine to Kamchatka is over 7,000 miles by road. Roughly 100 days on foot.
4
Lindsay Graham's hate of Russia is so strong he cannot stop himself from lashing out at anything Russian. If Russians are in for an awakening, does it have to be rude?
4
Or Houthi.
4
Send us F16s or send us money at least. Or better yet, send both, and lots of it.
4
In some ways we have come to a turning point. America will have to start using diplomacy instead of military.

Blinken could be used as evidence for a parallel universe, with the unique feature that Blinken lives in both universes. But he is reporting in this universe the realities he observes in that other universe. It's also possible that there is only one universe but Blinken lives in an imaginary world.

If Prigozhin wanted to attempt a coup, he would have been in the convoy on its way to Moscow. But he never left Rostov. The troops were traveling all alone. Prigozhin was recorded to be in Rostov on Saturday, and when he was again filmed in Rostov later, there aren't enough hours that would be required to travel from Rostov to within 200 km from Moscow and back to Rostov.

Out of the 73 samples of Ukrainian grain Poland tested, only six contained mycotoxins (the author misspelled it as myotoxins, which are something else). Greater mycotoxin occurrence would be expected since at least some of the grain had been sitting in storage for some time.
4
Yeah, for sure Austin surprised everybody. There aren't that many black guys walking around in Kiev. Congratulations to Google and YouTube, they anticipated every word of this thing.
4
This could be true.
4
@yfelwulf You are walking on a thin wire.
4
@a.m.armstrong8354 I answered you, but YT didn't post it.
4
Biden missed the opportunity to use the phrase "Fourscore years ago..." That would have made him sound like a grand statesman.
4
All those Polish jokes weren't joking.

It all depends on where the war isfought. If it's un US soil, then US wins. If it's on Russian soil or near it, then Russia wins. If it's somewhere in Africa, then it's likely that US wins because Russia doesn't have good capability to project power far from its borders. If it's not a ground war and it's just missiles between NATO and Russia over long distance then I guess population density will be bad for the West.

The Daily Express could be right about Putin suffering with "tennis elbow."
4
To be precise, Nuland said "F the Europeans" (not EU).
4
Of course Cleverly stupidly blames Russia.
4
I wonder if the Azovstal Battalion will try to escape through one of the sewer systems, and all this other activity is just a distraction to buy time.
4
China couldn't deny Zelensky's request to talk, because otherwise it would look like China is against Ukraine. It's possible that Zelensky will offer China an economic opportunity that would entail China needing to push for an end to the war, since if the war ended soon Ukraine would be left with more land and fewer governmental restrictions than it will if the war drags on.

Personally, I believe people don't want to reelect Ardern because of her atrocious English pronunciation. She says "rieiliction" instead of re-election. And she mispronounces thousands of words in a similar way, where an "e" is supposed to sound like the e in "eh", she reliably pronounces all "e"s in that word as ee in eel. That just wears everyone down after a while. I heard other Kiwis pronounce words that way, and frankly the English should disown NZ. Just don't admit those people have any connection to the old country. Jacinda Ardern disirvs no rispict.

Never leave Dan Andrews of Victoria out of the running.

Trump can give the USD 4.8 billion to the Pentagon, and none directly to Ukraine. Pentagon can use the money to upgrade something internally and will owe Trump a favor.
4
In Cyprus they call that Winter. They even wear jackets!
4
The employee bonuses paid by SVB just before the "collapse" may be fully legal and even obligatory, except management and executive bonuses which are typically based on their own and the company's performance, which might be illegal to the extent they exceeded amounts correctly calculated within the performance criteria.
4
That's disgusting.
4
Actually, the biggest threat to the UK is Sri Lanka. Mostly because it is so far away.

Also in Cyprus.

If Russia takes Budanov to court, they should name that court ICC-Ukraine.
3
Obviously we need to send more money and weapons to Zelensky.

India buys oil cheap enough to deliver the refined product back to Europe at the same cost as if Germany bought it in the first place.
