Now the country that should pull out from the Jeddah conference is Saudi Arabia. The USA can attend the conference all by itself or with whoever is left. Otherwise SA will bear the brunt of the wrath of the Americans without moral support from China and the rest of those who canceled.

Russia will be surprised if the West attacks as and when it announced it would do.

Pezeshkian is a 100% Armenian surname, and he doesn't look Persian. I don't know yet if that means anything, but it might say something about the orientation of the electorate. Maybe we will get some clarity on that over time.
1
If the ground in the tunnels is just packed soil, it may be porous enough to let most of the water seep out. I am guessing the Russians would know if it's clay under there.
1
I am just following along with the show. Now Alexander mentions that NATO observers announced that the bottom of the munitions barrel is now visible. NATO can sigh in relief because in the US, the "Pork Barrel" shows no signs of depletion.
1
What was the intention and purpose of the coup in Niger?
1
That would be strange because landlocked Slovakia had them. Maybe they planned to use them from the Danube River.
1
That's easy. I can do that just using white-out.
1
It's easy to anticipate what would happen if NATO ships escorted Ukrainian grain ships. Russia would destroy Ukrainian ports involved in this operation, and bomb enemy ships if they enter Ukrainian waters, because those would then be considered to be part of the war.

The way to change the mind of the Global South is money. But there are too many countries and these days the US simply doesn't have enough money to bribe the entire world.
1
@mfromaustralia1 Don't you think that the fact the US government didn't get what was predicted from the sanctions indicates a lack of understanding of macroeconomics?
1
@mfromaustralia1 You are totally clued out, just like 95% of Australians. Nothing in your comment relates to what I said. I was going to conclude you were an alien (given the recent spate of aliens bodies and spacecraft discoveries), but I think it's more likely you are just an Australian.

@mfromaustralia1 Australia and New Zealand are finished. Their people are too meek, too obedient, too timid, too submissive, too brainwashed by their government to ever recover freedom and true democracy. It would take an incredible shift in public will to get out of this. I only watch news about Australia to see how far it can sink.

@itsallminor6133 I am sorry to say that you too don't understand macroeconomics. A country's economy is not a static thing, where if you remove a part of it it becomes something less than it had been. If there are opportunities, a country will replace whatever economic activity is now lacking with other new economic activity. But the West and Leftists generally don't deal with reality. They think in terms of verbal concepts that are fixed (like Plato's forms) and are used as building blocks in one's thinking. Reality is in flux, and in their mind talking about an economy is necessarily talking about an economy frozen in time at one moment.

That HIMARS story is bad news for Poland. Their order of 500 of them will not be of use against Russia. However, they can always turn those missiles against the EU which doesn't have defenses against them. Poland has historically reacted badly against anyone wanting to rule them.
1
Well Huston we have a problem. American billionaires are so arrogant that they will not accept defeat. Are they willing to push it all the way to nuclear war. I don't know who is sane enough in America, but stop this. The Russians won't because they really perceive this as a life and death matter. And who can blame them, given their history.
1
The West is committed to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes to be completely defeated.
1
CNN's audience doesn't do their own research, to borrow a phrase from the Covid newscasts.
1
Wisdom dictates that it is unwise to burn bridges. Especially if they are made from steel and concrete. Think of the amount of butane lighter fuel needed, and the logistics to get it there.
1
The West wanted to freeze the conflict. Now the weather has done it for them.
1
I think the great trick the Ukrainians have up their sleeve is extraterrestrials the US recently announced to have been captured.
1
@СимонВизенталь-ы7ь It doesn't matter. Is Wiesenthal a Russian Jewish name?
1
@СимонВизенталь-ы7ь I replied to you. Did you get it? YT didn't post it in the common replies.
1
You may have future in stand up comedy.
1
@joeyn340 My username should answer that.
1
@joeyn340 Do you believe there exists a person who thinks that France wanted to write NATO but somehow got it wrong?

The purpose of the DNC Convention is to officially select the Democratic Party's nominee to run in the Presidential election. While it is customary for the DNC Convention to nominate the current presumptive leading candidate as indicated by the Primaries, there isn't a systemic or procedural mechanism forcing the delegates to do that. Of course going against the hitherto leading candidate risks alienating some of the voter base, in the case of Biden or Harris, voters will welcome a popular candidate who may have a chance to win in the elections.
1
@flamintasty Let's be nice to Poland. At least until it does something unforgivable.
1
Eastern European soldiers would feel like sheep being led to slaughter if they are ordered to fight the Russians in Ukraine. Bringing nuclear weapons of any kind to Ukraine is going to be understood by the Russians that such weapons will definitely be used against them. This will trigger an extreme response by Russia, potentially in a first nuclear strike on whoever might attack Russia or its military in Ukraine and areas under their control. It's not at all like Rubin says, where it served as deterrence between USA and Russia, because Ukraine will be driven to use these weapons due to Russia's continuing to finish what it started in Ukraine.
1
The Russians should suggest to bring into Ukraine North Korean Peacekeepers. If the UK really want Peacekeepers, then they shouldn't have any objections. And after all, North Koreans are alleged to already be there, so all they would need to do is change their uniforms.
1
From what Mercouris said, Zelensky is to blame.
1
And all this mayhem is solely due to American imperialism, combined with Globalism. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and Russians will perish for what essentially are business interests of American billionaires.
1
China cannot support nor oppose the legality of Ukraine's claim to whatever Russia controls. The reason is that it is not clear whether or not Taiwan falls into the category that Crimea or Donbass might fall into. So China needs to make the legal status of Russian-held lands undetermined, or at least openly unspecified.
1
Zelensky is in the West because it's a rare opportunity to get a broad.
1
If Ukraine runs out of military vehicles, they can always use Ladas. I see a lot of them still running on YouTube channels showing careless driving episodes.
1
Gays are not involved.
1
Historical accounts of Gallipoli say that the British told the Australians to attack so British troops could make a landing somewhere else unopposed. This is still called cannon fodder today.
1
This is a selfish view. If US wins, you will be eating bugs. And "I won't do that! "
1
That is a line from a song by Meatloaf. It goes something like this..."I would do anything for love, but I won't do that..." I don't know what they were referring to, but probably gay sex.
1
There is the possibility that Ukraine still owes money to the Biden crime family, which is why a Biden Administration won't accept a Ukrainian defeat.
1
The West, or much of the West is labouring under the misapprehension that Russia cannot generate industrial output at efficiency rates comparable to those in large Western economies. They forgot about the gargantuan production of T34 tanks that the USSR managed to make in the latter years of the war. And that was under Communism.
1
Naturally, Prigozhin doesn't want someone else to claim to have completed the conquest of Bakhmut. His Wagner units will see it till the end.
1
@aryzen2781 The trajectory toward the inevitable outcome will not be derailed.
1
@aryzen2781 I don't deal at this level of detail and have no interest in discussing it. It's like talking about stuff that makes no difference in the grand scheme of things.
1
@homeguardster Why? What's going to happen in the next month. I am 8000 km away from the action and would like to prepare if necessary.
1
@homeguardster You have lost me. What kinds of thoughts are unhealthy? And unhealthy to whom? This is all too confusing to me. Can you simplify?
1
@crimollo1 Thanks

Victoria Nuland will never accept defeat. This means that a negotiated settlement is only likely if she isn't fully in control of the DoD on Ukraine.
