I know you guys mention the oar slaves to emphasize that neither side was good, but during that time everyone used slaves; so while by modern standards that's bad I think it pointless to mention it like this. Think of it like this, 100 years from now people will likely look back on the meat industry with similar distain to slavery once lab grown meat becomes the norm, but that doesn't mean all the people of our time who owned and ran cattle ranches or those who ate animal meat are bad people; this is just the norm right now.
