  3. OKE, this is good but, maaaaate, it shows some serious holes in the collection. I'm happy to see a Mini14 and some M14s along with an AR10 (the granddaddy of Armlites) but where is the Luger, the Broomhandle Mauser, the KA98, Cacano, M1A, BAR, Lee Enfield, Webley et al? So many historical holes (and cool guns) missing in the collection mate and that's before we begin on the newer stuff that's not there. No FAL? No WA2000? Also, you need a Maxim in one of its many forms.

I controlled burn army training grounds as part of my job and we have 100s of live rifle rounds go off around us all the time, it's basically harmless, at worst you get bruises. it's the larger HE UXO you need respect for but all of that is mapped and you stay well clear of those areas when doing a burn. Yes, a lot of it is blanks but there is a fair amount of live rounds as well, having an entire belt of 7.62 go off 10 feet from you wakes you up on early morning burns 😁

  24. Doesn't even have to be a super expansive one,Taofledermaus' unit is worth about 9 grand and is quite fast enough for ballistic work, no need for an 80k top of the line job and yes, he really should have one by now as it would make a huge difference to the videos.

  38. Matt, you have a heap of RC cars thus you have transmitters, receivers and servos. Use a great big spring (hell, a piece of innertube will do) and a spinnaker release with a large RC servo attached. You can get high-speed ones that will do 90 degrees almost instantly. If that's too slow rig up a relay to the receiver output (easy, most receivers have "bomb drop" output that's on or off) and use it to activate an electromagnetic linear solenoid to pull on the release.
