Now, there is nothing like 18,000 pounds of strain on that cable. Your truck weighs that yes but you ain't lifting it, are you? The amount of force depends on the coefficient of friction between the tires and the ground and at a guess, I'd say maybe 4 to 5 thousand pounds max and maybe much less. Come on man, y'all must have a basic understanding of this shit, y'all graduated as a vet so y'all ain't dumb. If in doubt ask Mere, it's what she majored in!
