Thank you to the owner for allowing this to happen and congrats in advance to the new one.
48
And in such outstanding condition. I shudder to think what it will fetch, stg44 money I suspect..
46
"Gun Jesus has a one of maybe one left on today" "Fireplace Guy?" "Yeah, Fireplace Guy . . ."
43
When AK Guy will lend him one.
42
Sounds like they made over 100k of them so that's not a small amount really, especially for Mr Riseing at $2 a throw; 200 grand was a heck of a lot of dosh in the 1940s. IIRC the coast guard kept these for many years and was quite happy with them. Prisons were the other big user.
42
So, how many Freedom Coupons does a registered FNC auto sear change hands for these days?
41
Pretty sure the answer would be Suomi hands down.
40
If you can get a pinky finger down onto the mag to stop it bouncing the jams go away. They were all like that to some extent
39
I think you are on to a winner picking up this one, best of luck in the US market.
37
@johnanon6938 Correct,Vic was chosen because he was a champion mouser.
36
@badasscustodes1697 3 tours with the US Army in Afghanistan and Iraq as a tank commander. he is wearing that Cav hat because he is entitled to.
36
Because they make real good sense for a 2 man crew. It makes mag changes by the second so much faster.
35
Someone is going to be very happy. One of the most desirable BAR models in very fine condition.
34
As John says and that lot should take you about 20 seconds if you have been keeping your gas block clean.
34
Total, complete and honest transparency, how often do you see that from a (not a ) firearm company? He made it quite clear what this is, a very expensive toy but that won't stop them selling all they make I bet. This will sell to folks who want to be the first (big) kid on the block with a new toy as well as those who want to mess around with some new tech and there are plenty of both with 3.5k to spare.
33
Especially doing proof loads all day.
32
Sorry mate but I'm three minutes in and the wind noise is driving me nuts, I had to give up.
32
Less finished yes but still beautifully made to a high standard.
32
I know it's a dealer sample with will limit the prospective buyers somewhat but I can see this being quite popular come bidding time. It's a nice piece at a fraction of the cost of an MG42
31
That's how they sound, a very distinctive "double pop"
30
200k each, minimum.
29
Original specs said it had to be usably accurate up to 15 yards.
29
Kiss them goodbye now . . .
28
I'll say what I say with every release, I'd buy the lot if the shipping wasn't so obscenely expensive to Australia.
28
Iran, Africa so 1000 ways to acquire one and I bet a few ended up in Afghanistan as well.
27
@d3734 Original loads do go for that yes. You can produce reloads for these but genuine rounds are not cheap.
27
With the aftermarket 30 round mags this would be fun. Pity they ain't still 300 bucks like in the 70s.
25
@jorgecaballero6215 Oh dear, does not sound good. Korean war vintage Jeeps, oh boy. If you had the good stuff on paper I wonder if someone had their hand in the cookie jar?
25
Facen it, it's made for ranges between 10 and 50 feet and at those ranges you really don't need sights for an SMG.
25
wonderful blueing on that, it looks new.
24
Yup, I've shot 1000s of them in the 80s.
23
Thank you sir for seeing humor where others may see blasphemy.
23
@frosty3693 Easy, they are just circles of rubber. Those ones will be home made.
23
Everyone hates on Highpoint and yes, they are heavy and a bit chunky but they are a cheap, well made and reliable weapon that just works. You can't really say much bad about that.
22
Oh most certainly.
22
@jiraiyaofmountmyouboku1945 Why? No reason why not. The RPG is just a destructive device and can be legally registered as such, the training round is simply a longarm and in the US requires no rego at all.
21
Very nice of the guy to make his files available for everyone.
21
@Dick_Gozinya Not 4! Nor shall it be 2 unless counting to 3.
21
Better than that, he was wounded early in the battle and he lashed himself to the gun in order to continue firing.
21
No trouble owning that here in Australia but private import of that would be a nightmare.
20
About half past eight.
20
"Correction," he said, so he's ex ADF as well if he is an Aussie.
19
Allowing Ian to shoot it probably adds bugger all to the publicity and TBH a YT video isn't what sells these types of firearms. No one impulse buys a Lewis.
19
@Jabberwockybird That would actually be fun little toy but a reloading device for those mags would be a must! Oh and picture it. Home invader: "LOL what are you going to do to me with that toy gun?" Toy gun: "Brrrrrrrrrrrrt!" Home invader: <surprised dyeing sounds>
19
These prizes just get better and better.
19
Amen
18
Yup, a seriously great product that people now know exists.
17
Given who was using it those stories probably can't be told.
17
Correction, it's not a firearm in America. It most certainly is (or soon will be) in a lot of countries.
17
Funny-looking "flintlock" Ian 😁
